Guest caboose Posted July 24, 2003 Report Posted July 24, 2003 I would like to apologise for the fact that the Main Event was not handed in. I am that lazy. Feel free to flame me in NHB. DAMN I SUCK. Yeah Zack i deleted your thread as well... Feedback please...
Guest Zack Malibu Posted July 24, 2003 Report Posted July 24, 2003 Whoa, I had just done a ratings thread. Caboose, did you beat me to it and delete mine?
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted July 24, 2003 Report Posted July 24, 2003 funny shiz and Zack it's all good with the match and promo. More CWM on PPV=ratingZ
Guest caboose Posted July 24, 2003 Report Posted July 24, 2003 NAZ+HEX+CABOOSE+CWM+BLOOD+BRAWLING+PPV=RATINGS GOLD~!
Guest Zack Malibu Posted July 24, 2003 Report Posted July 24, 2003 I'd seriously like to know what everyone thought of the "coverup" skits with the old footage, as well as the HUGE SWERVE~! with Alison. What can I say, I need an egofeeding after what I went through on HD~! .
Guest caboose Posted July 24, 2003 Report Posted July 24, 2003 The coverup alcohol excuse was brilliant... As was busting out the returns of all those old stars...
Guest Zack Malibu Posted July 24, 2003 Report Posted July 24, 2003 The coverup alcohol excuse was brilliant... As was busting out the returns of all those old stars... Zack Malibu-smarter than the average bear
Guest caboose Posted July 24, 2003 Report Posted July 24, 2003 CWM=RATINGS GOLD~!* Indeed. *When Caboose is there to carry him...
Guest Kingpk Posted July 24, 2003 Report Posted July 24, 2003 Even though the lot of us had a widespread lazy attack, the show was still pretty good. And I was going beer for beer with CWM for a there......you know, until my liver exploded and all. Ow.
Guest Lightning Flik Posted July 24, 2003 Report Posted July 24, 2003 Even though the lot of us had a widespread lazy attack, the show was still pretty good. It was alright. About a 5. That's mostly due to nothing really special. Sure it's great to see long forgotten matches, but meh... There wasn't really any substance to this heldDOWN. It felt more like Velocity episode. I will admit that it was genious to have all that stuff to at least cover for the show.
Guest Zack Malibu Posted July 24, 2003 Report Posted July 24, 2003 No comments on Alison? Not a one!??! *sigh*
Guest Lightning Flik Posted July 24, 2003 Report Posted July 24, 2003 No comments on Alison? Not a one!??! *sigh* It was a tragic loss dude. Hopefully, we'll see where this is going. I think I already know, but I'm not about to post up unwanted spoiling thoughts.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted July 24, 2003 Report Posted July 24, 2003 CWM=RATINGS GOLD~!* Indeed. *When Caboose is there to carry him... you only carry me when i've had to much to drink and I need you to haul me outta a bar
Guest caboose Posted July 24, 2003 Report Posted July 24, 2003 Yeah and I haul you to another bar where you do your best work... More drinking.
Guest Some Guy Posted July 24, 2003 Report Posted July 24, 2003 Was that CWM/SG vs. BPP a real match form the past that was done in my absense? I liked the Alison stuff. And what was the deal with AP, SS, Alf, and Sandy using aWo music. Are they all back or back to using their old gimmicks as the case may be?
Guest What? Posted July 25, 2003 Report Posted July 25, 2003 I gave it a five... None of it had that normal flow that it usually has, and I just didn't get why we were having a "Recap" HeldDown...It was a lot like a Velocity.
Adam Posted July 25, 2003 Report Posted July 25, 2003 I liked the show, it didn't have the same flow as last week. Sprry for not getting a promo in, but where in the hell is HSJ? We have hardly any build up! Going to have to do something on Aggression.
Guest Zack Malibu Posted July 25, 2003 Report Posted July 25, 2003 Uh, SG and BPP... The BPP vs. CWM/SG and the 3 way matches were FLASHBACK matches. You probably just scanned the show and saw names, but if you look, there was an angle throughout the show where Coach was trying to overdub old matches and pass them off as new. Reread to see what really happened .
Guest Zack Malibu Posted July 25, 2003 Report Posted July 25, 2003 I don't see how a show with great buildup to angles (Totally Endorsed falling apart, the Zack/Dreams feud, and the angle within the main event tag match), a showstealing match (Black Label vs. Mad Matt/Axel, which blew off the Matt/Ragdoll angle and built tension for the X Title match) and comedy spots that *I* thought left us with a plausible and humorous reason to carry on with the show can be called "Worst Show Ever". It wasn't a blowaway, but I think it was good for what would be considered an "off week". I wanna see what Poet has to say about the Alison angle too, .
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted July 25, 2003 Report Posted July 25, 2003 Zack I must admit to not really caring one way or another about the Alison angle but that's just me. It's probably because I can't make myself believe she was real. Even though you did an awesome job
Guest evenflowDDT Posted July 26, 2003 Report Posted July 26, 2003 This is by far the best HeldDOWN~! I've read this summer*. 10/10! At first I was confused with Superstar and Sandman coming back, but then when I read the rest of the match and the ending it was hilarious. The Shattered Dreams stuff was great. Here's this cocky rookie kid, who's let his cockiness get out of hand to affect the match and the match hasn't even started yet. Commissioner Tim's a dick though...damn, he just adds stips left and right to try and screw innocent people out of titles and end their careers, doesn't he? And I love the Alison stuff. Actually, Alix's promo made me think of how far she's come. All the other characters in OAOAST have posters and "real people" attached to them (well, except for maybe Choko, but to be honest I'm not too keen on the HeldDOWN~! roster to know for sure), but Alison I totally made up way back when I was feuding with Sandman. Kinda like a one-shot, cheap "let's make some relatives appear out of thin air to fuck with them" heat. But she stayed. And she developed into a "real person". No offense intended, but I'm more interested in what happens with her than with several other matches on the card. Perhaps I'm partial because I "created her" so to speak, but she's got a life of her own now, I hope she goes on to bigger and better things, and doesn't forget about us little guys... sniff sniff. * It's also the only HeldDOWN~! I've read this summer. In its entirety anyway.
