Only The Strong Survive 0 Report post Posted July 25, 2003 The only song I've heard off of River Runs Red is "Method of Groove," and I like it a lot. Do you think that I'd like the whole album?/ Is it worth buying?
Guest Red Hot Thumbtack In The Eye Report post Posted July 25, 2003 Buy three copies. One of the best albums of the 90's
Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 25, 2003 Nah I don't like them at all.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 25, 2003 Seriously Though... If you liked Method Of Groove...guess what? It's the WORST song on the album... That's how damn good R.R.R is. Seriously...Life of Agony is in my opinion the best band ever. Yeah I know you all will laugh and joke about that and make fun of that. But I don't think there has ever been a Band with such RAW power and emotion and brilliant writing that Life of Agony presents to you. Keith Caputo is a brilliant writer and With 45 tracks that can't miss (excluding 4-6 songs on the S.S.S album)...You own it to yourself to purchase All three albums. B. Brian Brunzell 0 Report post Posted July 25, 2003 Yeah, they suck. Seriously, listen to Thumbtack. It's a KILLER album, and you should listen to it many times to fully grasp the awesome power of Keith Caputo's voice. He's not Mike Patton, but he's still a superb vocalist. Only The Strong Survive 0 Report post Posted July 25, 2003 "Method of Groove" = worst song on album? Wow, then I'm going to really like it. Thanks for the help guys, most music today needs a swift kick in the ass, and I've been going to older bands for something decent sounding.
Guest La Parka Es Mi Papa Report post Posted July 25, 2003 I'll second, or third, or whatever, the recomendation to get River Runs Red, but their other two albums are both underwhelming.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 25, 2003 ::Sigh:: Damn R.R.R really made Ugly look like a Bitch It's still a great album... S.S.S is still a mixed bag of 4 great songs and a field of suck.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 25, 2003 I should warn Only the strong... LOA aren't all that easy to find...You oughta look in Used CD Chains and shit like that (where I buy my cd's at) I STILL haven't found Caputo's Solo Albums... But I am betting I do whenever i go to NYC/Jersey.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted July 25, 2003 RRR isn't that hard to find..hit the internet. It's a fantastic album that everyone should own. Brutally honest, original, and catchy. Definitely one of the best albums of the 90's, I agree with that.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 26, 2003 Well yeah it's easy to find I just meant you won't see it at Wal-Mart or Sam Goodys or something but yeah Amazon or one of them deals will have it.
Guest kingkamala Report post Posted July 26, 2003 I haven't heard much Life of Agony but what I heard is excellent. Surprisingly the reason I first heard them is because my dad was into them.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 26, 2003 Your father is a great man King... My dad likes BOB FN SEGER. How you think I feel?
Guest kingkamala Report post Posted July 26, 2003 Your father is a great man King... My dad likes BOB FN SEGER. How you think I feel? like crap I bet Choken although I do dig that song I think I'm going to Katmandu. My dad probably has the best taste of music out of any board member's father on this board. Hell he was the only one that would go with me to ZZ Top...than again maybe that's just because I'm a loser and he felt bad for me. The only downside my dad has really is for some reason he's a big fan of Foriegner. It sticks out like a sore thumb in his music collection.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 26, 2003 Can your dad be my dad for a day? My dad has RACE CARS! Does yours? Didn't think so.
Guest kingkamala Report post Posted July 26, 2003 Fuck no I hate Nascar, I'm totally fine with my dad's obsession with the Red Sox and him calling the bullpen by committee "stupid ass holes"
