Yeah, I guess I am annoying. But I am far from being ignorant. When people are jealous of your strong mind then they usually resort to name calling. I'm used to it. I didn't resort to name calling. I simply described you. Also, there is a difference between not following the majority because you truly believe that, or being an fucking idiot that just wants to start shit. Then again there is also the possibility that you really are as stupid as you come off. I have my own opinions on things and aren't afraid to state them. It's not to stir up shit. Hell, I haven't been an an argument with anyone here in months. If I feel strongly enough about something I am not afraid to stand up for it, unlike the majority of this board who will conform to the majority just to avoid an argument. Like someone else said, most of us think he is innocent and their is nothing wrong with having your own opinions, but until there is an actual trial with REAL evidence what are you basing your opinion on? So why should any of us critisize his character because of the charge? If/when he's found guilty, I'd gladly admit I was wrong. My whole point centers around why people have this supreme hatred for the guy. If this happened to Michael Jordan or Tim Duncan, people would take notice, but the intense hatred would not be shining through. But because Kobe is a cocky twat, he is fucking unbelievable on the court, and because he wins almost every single year; people now can knock him down. This isn't a new phenemonea. Every day shmoes get their jollies by watching ET or reading the National Enquirer about celebrities downfalls or their personal problems. Its almost human nature to want to see them suffer because of their gross popularity and income. And Retro Rob, where do you live? And for all we know it is 100% truth. If Tim Duncan or Michael Jordan or the President of the United States was charged with rape after a investigation and medical evidence proved there was enough to go forward there would be just as much backlash against them. And once AGAIN for the people who stop reading midway through a post, MOST of the people here and in American believe that he is innocent. But to say that there is no reason to dislike the guy is bullshit. Unless of course you were a person that thought OJ is a cool guy and that since he was found not guilty, he should be loved and embraced by America. Innocent until proven guilty right? I wouldn't say anyone "hates" Kobe for this situation alone, but what all three of them did is wrong. If someone has other reasons to hate the guy that so be it, but I don't think anyone is basing their entire opinion on him due to this incident. Quite frankly, I don't have very much respect for anyone that commits adultry (or breaks any kind of commitment), but that doesn't mean that I also hate them and that they are not good at what they do. If you gents quit complaining about this Gamecop character for longer than 2 seconds, you could quit looking like a bunch of jackoffs by shunting Kobe's obvious popularity. If you don't like him, thats alright, but don't say he isn't the most recognizable figure in the NBA, or even sports today. He is. Only Tiger may be more popular and bankable through endorsements. You've got to be shitting me when you say that Kobe Bryant is the most recognizable person in the NBA, let alone all of sports. He's not even the most recognizable person ON HIS OWN TEAM. Until the recent non-stop coverage, I couldn't have identified him in a lineup (no pun intended) but I could recognize Shaq, or Karl Malone, or even their coach. And if you want to expand beyond the Lakers, what about Lebron James? Or Allen Iverson? Both are more recognizable. And beyond basketball? He's less recognizable than Roger Clemens, Barry Bonds, Serena Williams, to just name a few. And while I am a strong believer in "innocent until proven guilty", if the state of Colorado feels that there's enough evidence to press charges, well, alot of times where there's smoke there's fire.
