With Scrooge, do you mean the 1970 Christmas Carol adapation with Albert Finney or the Bill Murrary movie Scrooged? In fact there have been tons of Christmas Carol remakes both under that name and as Scrooge.

Well, I couldn't list all the versions of SCROOGE and/or CHRISTMAS CAROL!

I was thinking of the Albert Finney version though...

I second Die Hard, and where is Tim Burton's A Nightmare Before Christmas?

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. With A Christmas Story in a fairly close second.

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation hands down.

I can't fucking stand A Christmas Story.

A Christmas Story, by a huge margin.

Edward Scissorhands, although not specifically a Christmas movie, is a distant second, on the basis that I don't really care for any other Christmas movies.

A Christmas Story, easily. On Christmas Day, anytime I want to watch some TV, I flip right to TNT for 24-hours of A Christmas Story.

I see I am the only vote for White Christmas. C'mon, who doesn't want to see Bing Crosby sing and dance with Danny Fuckin' Kaye?

Where do you think you're going? Nobody's leaving. Nobody's walking out on this fun, old-fashioned family Christmas. No, no! We're all in this together. This is a full-blown, four-alarm holiday emergency here! We're gonna press on, and we're gonna have the hap, hap, happiest Christmas since Bing Crosby tap-danced with Danny fucking Kaye! And when Santa squeezes his fat white ass down that chimney tonight, he's gonna find the jolliest bunch of assholes this side of the nuthouse!

Bethany: "Is your house on fire, Clark?"

Clark: "No, Aunt Bethany, those are the christmas lights."

then of course, "Shitter's full!"

Hey! If any of you are looking for any last-minute gift ideas for me, I have one. I'd like Frank Shirley, my boss, right here tonight. I want him brought from his happy holiday slumber over there on Melody Lane with all the other rich people and I want him brought right here, with a big ribbon on his head, and I want to look him straight in the eye and I want to tell him what a cheap, lying, no-good, rotten, four-flushing, low-life, snake-licking, dirt-eating, inbred, overstuffed, ignorant, blood-sucking, dog-kissing, brainless, dickless, hopeless, heartless, fat-ass, bug-eyed, stiff-legged, spotty-lipped, worm-headed sack of monkey shit he is! Hallelujah! Holy shit! Where's the Tylenol?

Hey, what about "Home Alone"?

"A Christmas Story" does rule, though.

And whoever said they hated that movie: "You got to hell! You got to hell and you die!"

Nah, not really.

You all can have your holliday cheer movies, but give me Santa Claus going on a murder rampage killing people.

Its also a fun little movie to permanently scar kids under the age of 9 or 10.

Christmas Story never was the same movie after, I saw Ralphie on the ABC After School special. He was using steroids, so he could make the track team. He had roid rage, but his friend still beat him up.

What? No Silent Night, Deadly Night?

blah!

Damn straight! Glad somebody mentioned it. So...if 2 of the 3 "other" votes are for Silent Night, Deadly Night, that's two more votes for one film than like, half the list.

What's so great about A Christmas Story? I've seen it, and it's OK, but come on....certainly not worth playing for a whole day. Then again, I guess I'd still rather watch that for a whole day than "Shalom Sesame's Chanukah Special"
