Guest Nightscrawler Report post Posted July 26, 2003 There's always a bunch of crap at Shopzone, but they never think to put out some Cena merchandise. The guy is totally over, and is very marketable. I would definitely buy a Cena jersey or shirt that said 'Thuganomics' or 'Word Life' on it. I just think that WWE is missing out on not putting out merchandise for him.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 27, 2003 Actually...I believe Zack said they made a Purple shirt with Cena's Profile (face) with WORD LIFE in Graffit writing that was sent to his store... Remember when Cena suggested to the WWE Marketing to release WWF Throwbacks? That proves Cena has a mind for the business... It's simple for Cena...Make a throw back esuqe Jersey and WORD LIFE in Italics on the back with a simple black front.
Guest IB2BLACK Report post Posted July 27, 2003 Real throwbacks are very expensive. Therefore, if the WWE made one for Cena would you want to make a "cheap" one, or a "real" one?
Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 27, 2003 They made the normal jerseys for 80$ if I recall...Do the same...Just use Throwback graphics.
Guest King of Kingdoms Report post Posted July 27, 2003 Cena rules. I hear he is considered to make a rap tape for shopzone.www.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 27, 2003 Nope He is making one of his own distribution and NOT for WWE.
Guest webmasterofwrestlegame Report post Posted July 27, 2003 I imagine we'll get the Cena CD before anything else. He has already recorded six tracks. The CD will come with a bonus DVD containing his favourite 'freestyles' on SmackDown!
Guest King of Kingdoms Report post Posted July 27, 2003 Nope He is making one of his own distribution and NOT for WWE. I wonder how good it sells without WWE market it.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 27, 2003 U gotta love how cena is looking out for himself...using his OWN production crew instead of WWE's.

Adam 0 Report post Posted July 27, 2003 Yeah, then he gets the royalties, I'm glad he is doing this for himself.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 27, 2003 Exactly. Vince will get a Cut as well so it's not like Cena is stupid...He knows to give vince 20% of his cut because he'll get more out of it with the Marketing... Although Cena is allowed to say what he wants so he could Market it himself in his Freestyles.

Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 27, 2003 No Because even CENA said "I can't touch Em" Cena knows he isn't good enough...He is only doing the album for the novelty and he always wanted to cut one and already has a market. Eminem is an LEGIT rapper unlike Cena. Cena has No flow...Just punchlines.
Guest King of Kingdoms Report post Posted July 27, 2003 maybe cena and eminim could team up 4 duals or duets
Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 27, 2003 You mean a Battle? They don't call them Duels and you don't TEAM UP for them either. It's one on one. And Rappers do NOT duet...They Collab.

Guest Crucifixio Jones Report post Posted July 27, 2003 When Cena suggested throwback merchandise, he wasn't talking apparrel designed to look like or even be produced in the same way as sport clothing. He meant that WWE should latch on to the "retro" trend and re-release old merchandise or put out new merchandise that featured former stars. You gotta admit that it's cool to rock a Larry Bird Indiana State jersey, but how awesome would it be to get a fresh Bruno Sammartino t-shirt? The only reason I think it wouldn't work is because WWE has conditioned its fans not to really respect or remember their past stars so much and it's the exact opposite with pro sports, which is why it works well in that arena. Not sure how it would work in pro wrestling. You can always hold out hope for new Bret Hart merchandise, though.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 27, 2003 Oh I know what He meant...I was pointing that out showing that he had a mind for the business... Hearing how high vince is on Cena...wouldn't shock me if Cena gets in Vince's Ear.
