A huge, huge part of the problem is that Gowan absolutely can't play a sympathetic character. He has this obnoxious "Everyone owes me everything" vibe going, and it kills him. Why exactly was Vince evil for not giving some random kid off the street with no prior experience a contract?

Guest Dangerous A Posted July 28, 2003 Report Posted July 28, 2003 Vengeance was not a bad show. Definitely not great, but not terrible enough for me to scream "fuck Vengeance". The WWE title and tag title matches were very good, the US title match was great until the stupid ref bumps, Knoble vs Gunn was not offensive, and Sable and Steph was better than it had any right to be. While it was not good, it was better than any Kiebler or Wilson match, ever. The only bad/annoying/offensive stuff was the barroom brawl and Zach/Vince. A mondo blade job at the end does not make a good match folks.
