Ok, I read the majority of the show, and I must say that it was pretty dang good. But why do we have an opening, a match (the Tag title 3-way) another opening and a singles match (K-Money/Ragdoll)? A mistake, I'm sure

No, it was planned that way. We got the PPV name from a James Bond movie so I decided to do the show the way they are in the movies. Which is, pre-title credits, then title credits before cutting back to the movie.

Pre-title opening was something to do to showcase Jesse Ventura's Hollywood connection. I wrote the scene with the intent of making readers believe it was Tony "The Body." That's why it was revealed it was really Jesse doing the stunt, and Tony was undercover as Jesse.

I didn't want to use that as the opening then head into the title credits, as I felt the need to place a big-time match after it so the opening wouldn't be all talk.

I think it worked well, since we've never used such a format before.

Yeah.

Me & BPP will alternate posting PPVs starting next month with AS: SONR, which I will post.

Person posting PPV:

Aug. - Tony

Sept. - BPP

Oct. - Tony

Nov. - BPP

Dec. - Tony

Jan. - BPP

Feb. - Tony

You get the idea. If for whatever I can't post a PPV, BPP (or whomever) will take over my month.

And I'm curious about the format used for LTP, is that something you all would like to see us use again? Obviously we probably won't do another Bond-like opening, but starting off with a match then moving onto the credits.

I think we can toy with different, but new formats. We don't really have to do the match then credits thing, but we can do other things.

The match then credits thing only really fits the Bond theme.

You're right, LP. I already have an idea on a new format for AS: SONR.

I'm gonna try to do a rant tomorrow from work.

And NO LOVE FOR THE IRON MAN MATCH!?!? Damn.

I'll give a match by match feelings, but I'm not messing with Star Ratings.

Tag Title Match: What can I say bad about a match I'm involved in?? I liked it. It was a little short, but like Zack said that makes sense in a ppv with an iron man match.

K-Money/Ragdoll: Brilliant writing. It pulled you in and made you feel what was going on. Plus I'm becoming kind of a Ragdoll mark. He's just cool.

Eskimo/Jailbait: Very fun brawl. Plus Jesse getting involved was a nice touch. Jailbait came out of this match looking like a monster heel.

K-Ness/Kyle Landis: Short, but good. Quickest 15 minutes I've seen. I was always a mark for those 15 minute TV title matches. I wish this one played off the ticking time limit a little more though.

F13 Title Match: Since I wrote this I won't say much. I remembered after writing it that it was supposed to be No DQ. So I went back and changed some stuff, but I left some stuff in that ended up not making sense. Sorry about that.

SJ/SG: The pinning reversal spots were awesome. So was JR's reaction to it. Great match that told a good story that was continued throughout the night

CWM & Caboose/Hex & Naz: Cool match. Not sure why it was written that the crowd was quiet during Hex and Naz's uptime, but that's okay. Interesting stuff with Hex using Naz. I'd like to see where all this leads.

Axel/Brock: Great job by 5 Star on writing this match. Was this Brock's first loss? I hope that wasn't what 5 Star needed conformation on from HSJ.

Shooter/PRL: Great match. Fun to read and a brutal brawl. I think the way it ended was very fitting after what was written about the things PRL did to Lauren. Plus that cage was freakin cool.

SP/Goblin: Go go Power Rangers! A fitting end to one of the most cinematic storylines I've seen in the OAOAST. I hope I can atleast do half as well with Bizarro/Blurricane, but I don't think anything can beat SP's story.

SJ/AS: Once again it continued to tell a good story and the stuff with Caboose is very interesting.

Zack/SD: Wow! This one blew me away. It did an awesome job of making SD look like he could walk away as champ. Very cool.

I'm surprised that no one has caught that the intro to the Iron Man match was double posted.

Plus one of SP's segments was double posted as well.

I kind of saw that, but I figured it was ome kind of artsy statement like the opening-match-second opening-second opening match thing they did

I finally got round to reading everything...definetly one of our top shows. I'd put in just behind AM2, ahead of GAB2003 in the top three. My only concern is the continued high number of hardcore and no DQ style matches we have. Anyway, here are my thoughts. I was tempted to go for snowflakes but its so subjective I'm not sure theres a point.

Tag titles: Spot-tastic, but thats good for an opener. Good fast start. SJ shouldn't really be kipping up just seconds after having been speared, but it's the opening so it's ok I guess. Good to have the named moves defined.

K-Money vs Ragdoll: Awesome brawl. Sick spots and brutal finish. Can't wait to see what Ragdoll does with the X division.

Eskimo vs Jailbait: More brutal stuff. Fun, crazy bit with Jesse and the buick. I'm really likeing our feud, and Jailbait's doing a great job.

K-Ness vs Kyle: Very short for 15 mins, but not bad. Something to build on if the feud continues.

Orion vs Reject vs Bizarro: Decent match. Triple threats are hard to write, but this worked well. I think in "real life" Bizarro walking out might have killed the crowd a little though.

SJ vs Some Guy: "SG wiggles!" This just made me laugh for some reason  Good match story and a screw job ending that makes sense.

CWM/Caboose vs Hex/Naz: No more aWo, please! Good match. I tend to skim read Helddown so not totally up on the background to this, but I think I know where its going...or I could be totally wrong.

Axel vs Brock: Good match. My only criticism is Axel virtually no-selling the F-stunner-5 onto a chair.

Jay vs PRL: Great fun. The first 2 falls seemed kinda short and throwaway, but the last was excellent and the finish appropriate. If Reject's going to be the next contender for the NA title I hope he's going to be around.

Poet vs Goblin: Crazy stuff, but Poet managed to keep me believing in it. Good match and great end to the story.

SJ vs AS: Sound psychology, good short match as it should be.

Zack vs Dreams: Really puts Dreams over as a main eventer. Flying inverted Styles clash? Excellent. I didnt want to see chairs used again...I think almost every match had one on the card, but in an Iron Man match it makes sense. The quality of the writing kept up through out, great job.

Yeah, well I aven't actually talked to HSJ in about three weeks, and I sent him a pm asking what he was doing. He didn't send me one back, so I just ent ahead and wrote the match. I thought Axel sold the F-Stunner-5 onto the chair, Brock had the match won, but his hatred just mean't that he wanted to beat Axel more.

I hope HSJ doesn't take the loss badly, I apologize in advance if he does. I just thought it would just end my first angle here, and then both guys could move on, with me going on with the X-Division hopefully.

Regards,

Adam.

As with what Tony said, that's right, we're rotating handling ppv duty so its easier on us.

One thing we want it to do is to allow us to write some kickass openings.

Additionally, since me n tony's IRLs are kinda hectic right now, it sure cuts down our workload

I know my match was WAAAAAAAAAY too short but I had very little time to think about incorporating psychology and making it longer, plus my limited english knowlegde certainly doesn't help, but I'll try to do better next time.

If the crowd come off as quiet during the Hex/Naz dominated parts, thats my bad. It wasn't meant to come off like that.

Don't worry there is no aWo. It was just a joke. Anyway as soon as it says aWo, the voice says 'not quite but...'.

No I was referring to a line about "the crowd was silent except for when so and so did something"

I had never seen that in a written match so I didn't know if it was part of where the story was heading or just something different.

Usually everyone writes a hot crowd into their matches and it's interesting to see someone write that the crowd actually died down a little.

I was trying to get across the point that because CWM and Caboose are HUGE faces, Hex and Naz had taken the crowd out of the match and thus CWM & Caboose lost momentum... It was meant to put Hex over, but I guess it came off as strange.

Okay.

From what I've read and gone over, this was a GREAT SHOW. Everyone involved deserves a hand. I'm glad to have been a part of that.

Zack, I've not read the Iron man match yet because, well, that's a sitting all it's own. I will, however, when I'm not dead tired and approaching burnout. I've not forgotten, buddy.

K-Money.

That was one of the greatest matches I've ever read. MOTYC, in my book.

Today, hopefully. Gonna reread the last two matches and write simultaneously. Should be up by this afternoon, pending that it doesn't get too busy around the office.
