Guest MissMattitude Report post Posted July 28, 2003 I am not bothered about the lack of Ultimo's push, my problem is the idiotic reason that has apparently (although 1wrestling is the source) been given. Ultimo's work is unrealistic. What about the one legged man who they booked in a semi-main event last night or even Rey Misterio? Or the heel on RAW who supposedly hits people with hammers? Lack of realism has never bothered this company before. Not to mention getting drooped head first, 20 feet in the air while in a car and being back the next week. Guest razazteca Report post Posted July 28, 2003 They only signed him to hold him down and to keep him from going to NWA TNA. Ultimo Dragon in the X Division could of spike more interest in the company by casual fans who rarely buy the weekly PPV. Also Ultimo Dragon could of been the person to bring in some more wrestlers from japan or mexico. Well thats my conspiracy theory. The WWE realizes his potential and wants to squash it before it becomes something to worry about.
Guest Raven_Effect01 Report post Posted July 28, 2003 The WWE realizes his potential and wants to squash it before it becomes something to worry about. Once I saw him do so many kicks in his matches with Shannon Moore and Kanyon in WWE, I thought WWE had already killed Ultimo's potential by limiting him to nothing BUT kicks and signature spots and roll-ups. Now, they apparently want him to wrestle even worse without allowing him the chance to show if he still has it.
Guest razazteca Report post Posted July 28, 2003 Well its WWE logic that says you can't have a 180 pound wrestler go to main event, especially when he is above the David vs Goliath BS matches.
Guest Askewniverse Report post Posted July 28, 2003 I thought that the WWE didn't use logic.
Guest Mulatto Heat Report post Posted July 29, 2003 *reads* I now need to amuse myself by finding the Ultimo Dragon thread from May where RRR hijacked the thread and the 'wait-and-see' camp got their panties in a bunch. All that's left for Ultimo is to get run over by a... ahem... train. And considering what happened last night, that may be on the horizon.
Guest the 1inch punch Report post Posted July 29, 2003 Heyman turned on Brock because Brock got a mind of his own and wanted independance. Heyman alligning with Brock would make sense if Brock went to Heyman, if you catch my drift. Heyman was the one to bring him to the gold the first time, etc etc. Mah God...booking that makes sense Also one quick word on the whole Dragon thing.....The Nagoya Deathdrop looks contrived and ridiculous to set up
LooseCannon25 0 Report post Posted July 29, 2003 I recorded and rewound the part where Vince gets hit with the chair. It looks like he indeed has the blade in hand ready to do the deed, but then gowan kicks the chair in his face with his hand ready to blade causing him to slice harder and higher on his head. Guest Hogan Made Wrestling Report post Posted July 29, 2003 They only signed him to hold him down and to keep him from going to NWA TNA. Also Ultimo Dragon could of been the person to bring in some more wrestlers from japan or mexico. Well thats my conspiracy theory. The WWE realizes his potential and wants to squash it before it becomes something to worry about. Dragon has already talked about the reasons he signed with the WWE. They were: 1. To wrestle in Madison Square Garden. 2. To be a part of Wrestlemania. You can't do those wrestling exclusively in a small arena in Nashville.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 29, 2003 and Ultimo Dragon isn't a big name and would NOT attract people to the po dunk Nashville company
Guest gregb7677 Report post Posted July 29, 2003 For those wondering why Ultimo Dragon's push has come to a sudden halt, the word going around is that company officials feel his work is too light and doesn't look realistic enough to justify placing him in a top spot Hey Ultimo Dragon did the headlock spot on Heat with Kanyon for a good minute or so, isnt that real enough for WWE? So who is next on the list to save the Cruiserweight division.......El Santo? rotflmao no, Taker might bitch cause Santo would be infringing on the whole "deadman" thing.....
