Guest Crux Posted July 29, 2003 Report Posted July 29, 2003 When I click on links that are pop-up windows--I think its javascript, lately, my computer won't open it. The window will just disappear in a split second. Its not a pop-up blocker thing because I was able to open the windows w/ MSN explorer before it went retarded on me. Im using IE, by the way. Any ideas on how to fix this?
{''({o..o})''} Posted July 29, 2003 Report Posted July 29, 2003 Have you replaced your Hosts file in your Windows folder? Or have you uninstalled a pop-up stoper recently? I had a problem like this before when I uninstalled a pop-up killer which left me unable to open any windows. I fixed it by going to my control panel and restoring IE default settings. If not I wish you luck because I know it sucks.
Guest MrRant Posted July 29, 2003 Report Posted July 29, 2003 Go to Sun.com and try reinstalling Java if you think that is the problem. You can also try repairing IE through the Add/Remove Programs option in the Control Panel.

{''({o..o})''} Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 Control panel to Internet options to Advanced and then there should be an option to restore default settings.
Guest Crux Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 Nope, that didnt work. Im gonna try getting java again...there are just so many options that its kinda confusing on what to DL.
Guest Tyler McClelland Posted August 6, 2003 Report Posted August 6, 2003 Try downloading Spybot Search & Destroy... I had a problem with adware that made it impossible to open pop up windows, to the point where it would crash internet explorer. This program eliminated those problems. Search for it on Google.
Guest Tyler McClelland Posted August 6, 2003 Report Posted August 6, 2003 Or, you could go to download.com.
Guest Crux Posted August 6, 2003 Report Posted August 6, 2003 That worked! Thank you so much! Im in great debt to you...or something. lol
