Guest Mik at Cornell Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 Does anyone else click on all of these threads that are full of drama and think, "Oh, this might be entertaining," only to get to the end of the thread (or whenever you just can't handle it anymore) and end up hating every single person who posted an ignorant statement in it (which generally ends up being everyone). I fall into this same trap every day and I'm not quite sure why. I wouldn't read this board nearly as much as I do if I actually had shit to do at work all day besides mess around on the internet. I don't know if I can't even recollect how many times I've read a thread in NHB and thought, "Why do I even read this board" by the time I got to the end of it. Only to realize that I have Smartmarks amnesia and put myself into the same position the next day, only to once again finish a thread and ask myself how much more retarded can people get? But then I do it again. Ah, a vicious cycle indeed. Quick, someone make a motion to ban Johnson again so I have something to read when I come back to work tomorrow!
Guest Ripper Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 No I don't have that problem...mostly because when I enter this thread I understand the the calm intelligent posters that are on the other threads are gone and their "Oh, its on now BITCH!!" alter egos have taken over. And suprisingly, you still can get some of the smartest insults ever in this thread...well...sometimes. I can't say I have ever disliked a poster... unless they are posting something about having sex with members dead mothers or shit like that at which point I consider them a asshole. I guess I just don't care enough to dislike or hate a poster but care just enough to really like the cool ones. And seeing as this is NHB, that post was way too nice... Cock, shit, poo... Thats better.

I almost always have friends on both sides of these damn things, and I do not want to be caught in the middle, ever.
