Waco......you are at UNT? Of course I went to Sam Houston State for a year. I left when I found out Billy Gunn got his degree from there. The prison didn't bother me.

Good job, TSA. Yeah, I'm at UNT. I actually thought about going to Sam Houston for a while, but then decided not to for some reason or another, but don't really remember why. And I had no idea Billy Gunn had graduated from Sam Houston. Hmm.

Sam is pretty much a commuter school. The campus is dead after Friday everyone goes home. Not to mention there is not much to do. The high point for most is going to the execution chamber and touring it. Some actually wanna get their pictures taken while laying on the table! Now I don't know about you, but I sure as fuck don't wanna lay on something someone died on.

Yeah, I'm kinda inclined to agree with that whole not wanting to lie on the execution table sentiment.

UNT is great on weekends. Hell, you walk across the street from the language building and there's a street full of bars, and on the weekends there's always live music somewhere in the area (whether it be in Denton or in Dallas).

Murmuring Beast: I picked up a Queen's Park football shirt when I was there on holiday a few years back. Is it still the Irn Bru orange and blue strip?

That is unspeakably cool. Yes they still wear it, I'm wearing it just now.

I think that IBM has the COOLEST hometown of anyone here. That's alot of history in your hometown, you should be proud.

Thank you, I love my hometown. I forgot to mention that my town has the biggest concentration of bars and restaurants in Germany, which is also a nice feat :D

I forgot about this originally. My town had the first railway tunnel in Canadian history, even though it isn't in use anymore. They just put a new sign up, too:

Bellport, NY is famous for:

- Randy Smith: the former record-holder of consecutive games played in the NBA until A.C. Green broke his record in '97.

- E.B. White spent several summers in the village as a kid.

- Neal Heaton, former baseball pitcher, lives in the school district

- Grucci fireworks. (Most of the Grucci family lives in Bellport Village, although the headquarters are now in Yaphank, I believe.)

- Jennifer Connolly's mom used to own a house here.

- Also, some guy invented ball bearings here:

"Working in his woodshop one day in 1866, Bellport carpenter Oliver Perry Robinson accidentally discovered that tiny steel balls of buckshot made a board move easily across a flat surface. He patented the idea, later known as ball bearings."

Nope, Waco native. Graduated from high school here in Waco, his wife and child still live here, as does his brother. You know the song "George's Bar?" It's written about a bar here in Waco, three blocks from my parents' house to be exact. I think he might have gone to Texas Tech, though, which is in Lubbock. Don't quote me on that one, though.

1. The nation's first public library is found right here in Franklin, MA. And, in that library, are about 35 of Benjamin Franklin's books.

2. Being the hometown of TSM poster, and Metal God, Corey F'N Lazarus.

Well, regardless of the fact I'm in Miami now, I've only been here for 5-6 months and am returning to my real hometown of Valencia, CA which is within the area of:

Santa Clarita Valley (encompassing Valencia, Newhall, Saugus, and Canyon Country, California)

*Hometown of former NWA/WCW Wrestler Sting

*Home to UCLA's now starting backfield and starting linebackers (Manuel White, Jr. who I played with in high school, Ray Cassaday, and Pat Norton, Jr.)

*Home to professional athletes Todd Zeile in baseball and recently Kyle Boller in football. I played against Boller in high school and am proud to have gotten a hit on him in a scrimmage now.

*Home of Six Flags Magic Mountain, which is now the recordholder for most rollercoasters in a theme park-constantly competing with Cedar Point

*Marilyn Manson's parents live over in the Newhall area. Ironically one of the poorest sections of town

*Newhall was founded in the 1800's and was one of the first frontier gold mining towns in Southern California, leading of course to a lot of old west cowboys and indians type shoot em ups and history.

*Due to its western heritage (home of actor William S Hart), it is/was a huge location for numerous movie and TV spots. Still to this day, I just recently saw the West Wing (from NBC) crew over at my local college as recently as February, and I remember the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers frequently being filmed in the canyons and forests around the area.

*Speaking of which the Green Power Ranger is also from the Santa Clarita area

*A little less than a year ago we made national headlines when a guy over in Stevenson Ranch (also a part of Santa Clarita next to Valencia) refused to give in to the FBI and the house was then torched and gassed so the guy would come out, but the guy instead shot and killed 2 officers and himself. In the middle of an upper class suburban neighborhood.

*Home to a good number of up and coming punk and rock bands, of course which people here haven't heard of, but are all over the place and have recording deals and everything.

*Known as the 3rd in the nation in alcohol abuse among teenagers (kids aged 13-19, or 14-21 I forget), and 1st in drug abuse. Again, despite being in a relatively low crime suburban area.

That's my town for ya.

I forgot to add that a famous record engineer has his studio in here. So Paul Simon, Eric Clapton and Megadeth (An ecclectic list) amongst others have mixed their albums here. Rumor has it Guns N Roses are mixing Chinese Democracy right here today.
