Guest Lightning Flik Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 Damn good read Matt. Sorry, not used to calling ya that. And you totally fuck me up in terms of my argument that I had for the "Pro-Shane O'Mac" way they ARE going. Still though, you made me think and change my opinion. Hell of a work, I'll say.
Lil' Bitch Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 Good thing because just about everybody likes Shane and have been anxiously awaiting his return since he teased it for the two surprise appearances regarding the RAW GM role.
Guest CanadianChick Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 Sorry, but even with fanstasy booking, there is no way that the RVD/Kane feud will climax at Wrestlemania XX. No way.
ChrisMWaters Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 Good article...except there's one thing I was thinking... Would it be so bad having Shane be RVD's manager? I mean, everyone admits that RVD isn't that great of a talker out there...and Shane could fill that role. It's a way for both of them to get revenge on Kane too.
Guest JRE Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 Well, you didn't mention how much offense RVD got in on his match with Kane. I believe I've pointed that out here a number of times. Besides that you just moan about RVD being buried because he was gone for one week selling an injury. Stolen Summerslam match, we'll see, your column was written prematurely if you were going on 1bob as a definite souce. To me, it boils down to Shane being likeable. Entertaining. Whether he's a "wrestler" or not.

RVD is as bad as a talker as people put him out to be. It wouldn't be bad if it was a temporary thing, but no thanks if you mean permanetly.
Guest BionicRedneck Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 Kane/RVD just got given away for free on TV two weeks ago. Plus, RVD has spent most of his time in the WWE laying down wheras Shane is usually booked strong. Plus, people like Shane and he hasn't been on TV properly in a while (which makes him different from Vince/Steph)
Guest JRE Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 (edited) Kane/RVD just got given away for free on TV two weeks ago. It never started. A cage match would be nice and fitting though. Edited July 30, 2003 by JRE

Yeah, I didn't really mean permanently...just for this whole war with Kane really. Though if I had to choose one person from WWE to be RVD's manager...it'd either be Shane or Heyman.
Guest Anglesault Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 Would it be so bad having Shane be RVD's manager? . No. Shane is just as bad as Vince and Stephanie.

I wouldn't really choose anyone to be RVD's manager, to tell the truth. I think he's fine on the mic. It seems I'm alone in that though.

Guest BionicRedneck Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 Would anybody really want to see RVD vs. Kane? You either have to book RVD strong in defeat which damages the "monster" or have RVD go down easily and you all complain he was "buried". This way Shane does one of his silly, crazy bumps and jobs. Of course, if he doesn't then it sucks.
Guest Dangerous A Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 I'm against Shane being in this program, over or not. If this was going to equal Kane destroying Shane in 7-8 minutes, then I'd be ok with it. But since he is a McMahon, I see 20 minute street fight with Kane selling all over the place for him. Fucking sad really. Angle had to sell for Shane in 2001, now an "unstoppable monster" is going to be stopped by Shane fucking McMahon. I wouldn't doubt if Shane even goes over. Then I can hear people defend that by saying that Kane will get his win back at a later PPV, which in turn means more McMahons on my TV. Fuck this.
Guest Anglesault Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 plus, people like Shane and he hasn't been on TV properly in a while (which makes him different from Vince/Steph) No it doesn't. When he's on, he does exactly what they do.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 my deal with Shane. When he's on tv he's always good a little while. But then his charcter gets stale, he goes over on too much of the talent, and he gets annoying and overstays. Then he'll take off and you get the "I miss Shane" feeling....then the cycle repeats. Personally I'm tired of Shane. Leave the McMahons off of tv.
Lil' Bitch Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 I would rather have RVD on PPV than Shane.
Guest BionicRedneck Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 Vince/Steph have been on TV for the past year constantly. Shane hasn't. Shane returns, Shane jobs, Shane leaves. I can deal with that.
Guest Dangerous A Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 I would rather have RVD on PPV than Shane. Amen to that, brother.
Guest BionicRedneck Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 I'd rather have someone talented.
Guest Dangerous A Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 I'd rather have someone talented. Then Shane isn't your man either.
Guest BionicRedneck Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 Indeed, he isn't. I don't really give a shit about either.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 Shane's not a great worker. He takes a big bump every year or two and that's about it. And it's selfish as fuck for him to do so. He does his big spot, gets all the credit, and doesn't work again for 12 months while everyone else has to try and top his one night crap

Of course, if he doesn't then it sucks. RVD going down strong in defeat doesn't hurt Kane. As long as Kane gets a clean win, he's fine. Shane looking strong in defeat would hurt Kane alot more than Rob looking strong in defeat.
Guest BionicRedneck Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 The best way to book this is to have Shane get hammered. Wether they will or not is another story.
Guest CanadianChick Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 The best way to book this is to have Shane get hammered. Wether they will or not is another story. Why waste that on a PPV though? Why just put a squash on a Raw, then a competitive match on a PPV?
Guest Youth N Asia Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 Shane should not have close matches with any of the boys. There's no reason for him to stand a chance against any of them. Yet he goes over a lot.
Guest Lil Naitch Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 I realized why Kane didn't murder Austin- Kane likes to torture his victims, right? Austin can't fight if provoked. Threfore, Kane is hurting Austin by not doing anything. As for Shane- Kane will crush him and then move on to RVD. Hell, maybe they can stall the inevitable match untill SurSer or WMXX
