BMWs and Mercedes' look like they do because they're luxury cars before performers.

If you're going to have a car meant purely for performance (Mustang, GTO, Corvette, etc), it needs to look MEAN. Even the Corvette, with all of its curves and such, looks sinister.

I saw an older Mustang. 60's. With an exhaust tip with lights on the end. I wanted to beat the shit out of that guy so bad. It was nice looking too. Just take off that stupid ass tip.

The high performance BMW's and Mercedes are all about total package.

The M series BMWs and the AMG series Mercedes don't put luxury above performance. They just happen to have both.

Clearly GM is going for the BMW type of muscle car with the GTO, so the understated look works for it. The original early model GTOs wasn't very "aggresive" looking either. It was just a hot rodded family sedan. The GTO didn't become "aggresive" looking until The Judge model.

See, I felt The Judge killed the look it had about it. The GTO looked imposing to me because it looked like a family sedan sure, but it could move, it didn't just look like another musclecar.

The new car got into town yes, but the bank needs the title from the wrecked one before they can do the substitution of collateral. Typically, this happens on a Friday, when banks are going to be closed for the next two days. So now, I'm waiting until Monday to get the car.

It's sooooooo beautiful. The painted aluminum center panel looks GORGEOUS against the black interior.

Plus, I saw the first GT Interceptors around here today. It was a good day for Mustangs, but what day isn't?

Aww man that sucks. Monday?! Thats the worse. Having to wait through the weekend for anything is a drag. Its cool that your getting the car though. Im looking into buying a car right now. Or atleast in the next couple months maybe. I have the time to wait but if I see something come up I will take it. I have been looking at a few 300ZXs. Those are price cars. Also at some 3000GTs.

How often do you buy a damn car?

< Dude that is perfectly fine with the same two cars for 6 fucking years.

I have only owned 1 car. My first car. The Civic. I sold it to my bro. My mom bought a car so I used hers for a while. Then when my grandfather gave me his Escalade we sold my mom's car. I dont like to use the Escalade to go everywhere. Buying a car right now isnt the first thing on my list but if I see something I like then I would go for it.

This isn't buying a new one per say, it's more like replacing the totalled one.

And HBK, even though they aren't as powerful or have as much of a performance reputation, get a 3000GT over a 300ZX. They look soooooo much cooler.

My car is a 1992 Chrystler Shelby Daytona 2.2L Turbo, 5-Speed.

Nice car and all, but dumbass me pays too much insurance on it (361 a month...)

They are both nice cars. The 3000GT does have more style than the 300ZX but theres also something about the 300ZX that brings me to it.

I rode in the backseat as my grandmother test drove it. She co-signed with me and her stellar credit got us a great interest rate, but I'm petrified for that car now. She wants to take it on a trip to visit relatives in Georgia. I'm almost tempted to endure hours of hell in a car with her just so I can be the driver and make sure nothing bad happens to it (and no chance of a speed-related accident, as she keeps any car she's in well under the speed limit on any road).

I have a 2001 Mercedes 240 C. It's a low model but it moves and is pretty sweet.

I'm not trying to get on you or anything, but you just shot your reasoning all to hell.

You complained about the new GTO not being aggressive looking, but just now said you liked the original GTO because it didn't look like a muscle car and wasn't overly aggressive looking. Basically you complained about the new GTO doing the same type of thing you liked about the original GTO.

oi vey...now I'm confused.

Let's just leave it at...both are sleeper performance cars.

I'd get a 300z over a 3000gt. The 3000gt is a fat bitch in need of a diet.

300z is a better sports cars and the styling is a matter of taste and opinion. Personally I lean towards the 300z in terms of styling.

That was my first time reading about a Shelby GT500E. Im amazed. Thats a fascinating car. One on the site can rip out 750 HP. Wow. The only other car that I can honestly say can provide that much power without turning it into a race car is a Supra. I must read more about this car.

I havent been able to look for a car the past few days due to me being at a funeral. But I am suppose to call a guy about a sweet 300ZX I saw. It was turbo'd and had a 125 shot NOS system. There were some engine stuff done but just come components to be able to handle the extra power. Also had a pretty nice custom made audio system. The subs were installed inside the seats. I would have thought that would just drown out the sound and give you a headache but it had a deep smooth sound to it. It sounded nice. He wants $22,500 for it. The car has only 22,000 original miles on it. He is also the only owner. Its a 1996.

Its funny how we have almost the same exact taste in cars. Lancers and WRX's will always be a favorite of mine. And when I get the money I am going straight for a 1990-1995 Ferrari.

The GT500E Super Snake is SCARY. I mean, come on, a fucking 427FE big block... SUPERCHARGED? Fugghedabout it. You'll never need the "Go Baby Go" button on the shifter. They put it perfectly at the Sanderson site, it's a genuine muscle car with all of the safety and comfort amenities of today, which is exactly what keeps me from really pursuing an older car. I just feel so incredibly unsafe in one.

I'd get my GT500E in the mineral grey with the black stripes though. Gotta keep it looking like the original inspiration, you know?

And a quick note on the new GT: My mother has driven it faster than I have so far. She stopped by at my work the day I got it and said she wanted to drive it around for a bit, then got back and said "I got it up to 90!" I almost fainted, especially since it was starting to rain as she left, and very nicely asked her to never EVER do that again.

Hey atleast your mom has an edge. My mom drives 20 under the limit. Sucks when we are in a hurry somewhere.
