Guest PowerPB13 Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 On summerslam.wwe.com: "SummerSlam was born on Aug. 29, 1988 at New York City's famed Madison Square Garden. Over the years, SummerSlam has been the site of some of sports entertainments most exciting moments. It was at the summer spectacular that Randy "Macho Man" Savage married his longtime valet Miss Elizabeth in 1991. SummerSlam also provided fans with the epic WWE Championship match between the Ultimate Warrior and Ric Flair at London's Wembley Stadium in 1992. Two Undertakers battled in 1994. With a broken neck, Steve Austin defeated Owen Hart for the Intercontinental Championship in 1997. Triple H and The Rock competed in a legendary Ladder Match in 1998. All this and more can be found when the SummerSlam history section is launched very shortly."
Guest Askewniverse Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 I can't believe they did that. They actually brought up UT vs. UT again?
Guest PowerPB13 Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 what? I'll call it a typo. I'd call it a company run by idiots, but that's just me. -Patrick

Guest webmasterofwrestlegame Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 I wouldn't call it a typo. 'Ric Flar' is a typo. Thinking a different wrestler (Ric Flair when it should be Randy Savage) is just bad. I don't know too many other websites that constantly make these mistakes.

Guest JRE Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 Who cares? The sites still in construction.
Lil' Bitch Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 Did Ric Flair ever have a match with the Warrior?
Guest Steviekick Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 Warrior could have possibly wrestled Flair, since they were hinting at a feud around that time. Nothing on TV...maybe a house show or something.
Guest Downhome Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 I also agree that there is no excuse in bullshit like that.
Guest claydude14 Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 I don't give a fuck! And neither do any of you! Get over it!
Guest AndrewTS Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 Vince: *on phone* Yeah...mistake on the website..fixed? Hmm...Warrior vs. Flair it said? Okay, sure....thanks. *hangs up* Say...SAAAAY, now that's a money match we've never seen before!! It'll make millions!! HHH: Uh, yeah, dad--let's go for it. Then Warrior could feud with me after squashing Jericho. It's brilliant--glad you thought of it, dad. Vince: I'm a genius, aren't I? Screw those doubters. I've Vince McMahon damnit, and I'm still a genius! HHH: Yes, you are...now, I wanted to ask you about a few new surgeries for Steph...
Guest Askewniverse Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 What's really funny is that neither one of those two (Flair and Warrior) was the WWF champion going into SummerSlam '92.
Guest PhantMan Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 for a company that still pretends wrestlemania 7 was changed to the La Sports Arena for "safety precautions" that's acrtually a step forward...

Well of course 3H's would be all for the warrior coming back..then he could beat the Warrior and get the job to Warrior back thats probably been eating at him for years.
Guest The Czech Republic Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 Hey, at least they didn't say the main event in '92 was This Guy versus That Guy. The Rock is the most electrifying man in sports entertainment.

Yeah, that's what I was implying. If Bischoff was stupid enough to bring back Warrior, it wouldn't be a stretch for Vince to do the same. Especially after Sable and Piper's returns.
Guest Mad the Swine Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 There was an earlier question of whether or not Flair and Warrior worked a match. They worked a handful in September-October 1992. Warrior is the one that potatoed Flair, causing his vertigo that probably took the title off him and caused to miss a month of wrestling.

Guest Choken One Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 because they couldn't sell 100,000 seats.

Guest mach7 Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 WWE has the poorest excuse for a web "department" I've ever seen. It never ends with them. Things are always out of date, links are always broken, and there's always stupid mistakes like this. They can't even keep their superstar bios up-to-date. Hell, earlier this week they had put up the Photos link for this past Monday's RAW, yet it went.. to last week's photos. For two days. Why put up the link if you don't even have the photos ready. Idiots.
Guest Dangerous A Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 First Shane McMahon comes back to TV to take a high profile match away from RVD on the second biggest show of the year, now his web department can't get their history straight. Is Shane McMahon good for anything except crash test dummy for big bumps? He can't even get running a simple website right. That error is just careless, much like WWE's quality control of storylines.
