Lockdown Losing Matches~

Guest The Superstar

We return to SWF Lockdown with a shot of the outside of the Savvis Center, the lit board outside proudly displaying “SWF LOCKDOWN – SOLD OUT”. We switch to a shot of the inside of the arena, zoomed way out so we can see the entire arena, the ring in the middle, demanding attention as we switch to another shot, this time of Bobby Riley and “Grand Slam” Mark Stevens, sitting calmly behind the commentary desk.

“Welcome back to SWF Lockdown!” Stevens grins as he brings us back from break. “Don’t forget, folks, that tonight we have a huge main event for the Intercontinental-Television championship, as Mak Francis defends against Nathaniel Kibagami.”

“Indeed we do, Mark,” Riley says, picking up on Stevens’ lead. “Already tonight we’ve seen a clash between two former World champions in Andrew Blackwell and Tom Flesher.”

“But coming up next,” Stevens says, steering us towards the match, “is the newly christened team of Double Jeopardy, going two-on-two with our esteemed tag champions, Dace Night and Va’aiga. Earlier tonight we saw Quiz’s search for a partner end with Charlie Matthews, who he rechristened Show, and the two of them will team tonight against our tag champs.”

As Riley and Stevens continue, Vicky Black hops out of the crowd, sliding into the ring, setting up a sparkling green board set up in the middle.

“This is Quiz’s debut, Mark,” Riley notes, “and if he’s as good in the ring as I think, the Trinity will be in for a huge surprise.”

“I haven’t heard much about Quiz,” Stevens admits, “but his partner is not one to be messed with. Despite a loss to William Hearford last week, Charlie… uh, Show, is one of the top big men in the game.”

Funyon, standing on the outside of the ring, begins to speak. “The following tag contest is scheduled for ONE fall! Introducing first…”

Rod Roddy’s voice blares over the loudspeakers: “Quiz! Show! Come on down!” Vicky Black turns over the words “Double Jeopardy” on the glittering green board as “Come On Down” by Crystal Waters begins to play, a pair of sliding doors opening to reveal Quiz and Show! The two both have microphones, and Quiz raises his microphone, speaking.

“Welcome to tonight’s show! We have two contestants in the studio tonight, and I’m sure many of you know them as the Unholy Trinity!” The crowd pops for this, but Quiz ignores them, continuing with his spiel. “Show, the answer is: The thing that all of these beautiful people in the Savvis Center are going to see tonight!”

Show raises the mic, the crowd’s answers of “TITS!” ignored as he says, “WHAT IS AN ASS KICKING?!”

“You are correct, sir!”

Vicky Black reveals the words “Ass Kicking” on the board in the ring as Quiz and Show slide into the ring, posing with Black before she slides out of the ring.

“Weighing in at a combined four-hundred and eighty-eight pounds, Quiz and Show, DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUBLE JEOPARDY!”

Quiz and Show go to their corner, discussing strategy, as smoke billows out from the entrance way, lit red by the gateway lights as red lasers shine across the entrance area, creating a mesh of light as the lead singer for Machinehead’s voice rings out…

“LET FREEDOM RING WITH A SHOTGUN BLAST!”

“Davidian” by Machinehead starts up, a blast of pyro going off as the crowd goes wild! Red strobe lights light the passage up the ramp as Dace Night and Va'aiga step through the laser mesh, out of the smoke, and stride up the ramp into the ring.

“And their opponents, weighing in at a combined five-hundred thirty-seven pounds, your SWF Tag Team champions, Dace Night and Va’aiga, the UN-HOOOOOOOOO-LEEEEEEEEEE TRINITY!”

Va'aiga and Dace salute the fans, holding up the Tag titles proudly before sliding into the ring, posing with the belts. They give them to referee Nick Soapdish, who hands them to a ring attendant.

“This is the team that knocked Justice and Rule off the mountain, Bobby,” Stevens says, a dramatic note in his voice. “This team…”

“Hasn’t even defended the titles since winning them,” Bobby retorts, “and refuses to put them up against Double Jeopardy tonight, most likely out of fear.”

In the ring, Soapdish calls for the bell, and Show and Dace step out of the ring, leaving Va’aiga and Quiz.

*DING DING DING*

Va’aiga steps towards the center of the ring, holding out his arms for a test of strength, to the chuckles of the crowd. Quiz, however, looks nervous at this prospect, pulling his shirt collar and making it painfully obvious that he does not want to test his strength against Va’aiga’s. Instead, he backs away, going to the side of Va’aiga. The crowd shows its true emotions in the form of a “YOU’RE A COWARD!” chant, but Quiz pays them no mind, instead choosing to circle around Va’aiga, who watches him slowly, in a manner akin to a predator waiting for its prey to give up.

Quiz, however, has no intention of going near Va’aiga, and he continues to circle, the short fuse of the huge Maori quickly running shorter… shorter… and finally he snaps, charging at Quiz and looking for a shoulder tackle – but Quiz rolls underneath Va’aiga, standing up behind him! Va’aiga halts, turning around to look for Quiz – who catches him with a dropkick to the sternum!

Va’aiga stumbles back into the ropes, and he bounces off of them, charging at Quiz and looking to knock his teeth out, but Quiz again goes to the mat, this time scissoring his legs around Va’aiga’s, snapping him to the mat face-first with a drop toe hold! Quiz quickly stands up, grinning as he adjusts his tie and fixes his hair, the crowd booing him mercilessly as Va’aiga grunts on the mat, shoving himself to his feet.

“Quiz showing his patience early,” Stevens notes, “allowing Va’aiga to get angry and then suckering him in for two quick blows!”

“Some crafty work there by the Quizmeister,” Riley says, “weaving in and out of Va’aiga’s path like a matador!”

Va’aiga gets up quickly, staring at Quiz with a bloodthirsty look in his eyes – and Quiz picks up on this, pulling on his tie and looking at Show, who stands on the apron behind Va’aiga! Quiz stares at Va’aiga, grabbing him by the arm and looking to whip him into the turnbuckle – but Va’aiga holds firm onto Quiz’s arm! Quiz looks around for help, but gets none as Va’aiga yanks Quiz’s arm, pulling Quiz towards him and right into a monster lariat! The crowd erupts, causing a pumped Va’aiga to call out “BOOYAH!”, inciting the crowd even further.

Show, seeing his partner in trouble, kneels down, holding onto the tag rope with his left hand and reaching inside the ring with his right, tagging Quiz’s foot! Soapdish, seeing this, signals a tag, and Va’aiga whirls around, seeing Show step into the ring. The big Maori stares at Show, opening his arms in a “come-and-get-me” gesture – and Show responds by charging Va’aiga, clobbering him in the face with a running elbow, eliciting a call of “PASSWORD PLUS!” from Bob Riley and a loud “OOOOOOOH!” from the crowd! The crowd roars out in boos at the early high-impact move as Va’aiga hits the mat hard, and Show gets on top of him, hooking the leg for the pinfall attempt.

“ONE!”

“TWO!”

“T – TWO!” Va’aiga gets the shoulder up at two, and Show lifts Va’aiga to his feet.

“You’ve gotta admit, Stevens,” Riley gloats, “that while Danny Williams and his Trinity claim to be stiff strikers, that was stiffer than anything Mr. Williams could throw on his best day!”

Show knees the larger Maori in the stomach, doubling him over. Show wraps one arm around Va’aiga’s neck, looking for a DDT, but the large Maori grabs Show’s inside leg, reaching around with his outside arm and wrapping it around Show’s neck! Quickly, Va’aiga lifts him up, dropping him back quickly with a Samoan Drop! The crowd pops for the huge impact, and Va’aiga quickly gets to his feet, shouting out to the crowd!

“BOOOOOOOOYAH!”

The crowd erupts, as Va’aiga stalks over to his corner, tagging in a moderately amused Dace Night.

In-ring, Dace lifts Show to his feet, holding him in a slightly doubled-over position. Dace transitions this into a hold on the arm, and he uses this hold to whip Show into the corner – but the bigger man reverses the whip, sending Night into the corner of Double Jeopardy! Show goes over to the team’s corner, tagging in his smaller tag partner, and Quiz enters the ring. Show exits as Quiz goes right to work on Dace, catching him with a slap from the left hand across the face! The crowd erupts in boos as Quiz grins, clubbing Dace in the face with a right forearm. Quickly, Quiz repositions himself, cupping his right hand under Dace’s chin and rearing back with the left, and then –

SLAP!

“WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!”

Dace clutches his stomach in pain, stumbling out of the corner but Quiz shoves him back in, lifting his chin again with the right hand and rearing back for a chop with the left!

SLAP!

“WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!”

Quiz grins, straightening his tie as he backflips out of the corner, landing on his feet about five feet from Dace, and he runs at him, using Dace as a treadmill as he runs up his stomach, catching him with a moonsault kick in the chin! The crowd erupts as Dace staggers out of the corner, and Quiz grabs him around the neck as he does so, snapping him over with a perfect snapmare and following it with a kick to the spine! The crowd boos as Dace clutches his spine in pain, rolling onto his stomach and clutching at his back as Quiz calls out to the crowd.

“SURVEY SAYS – He’s in pain!”

“Listen to Quiz incite these fans, Riley! That’s an awful lot of big talk for someone that can go an entire wrestling sequence only using one legitimate move!”

“I don’t know what you’re going off about, Mark. Va’aiga’s moveset is worse. And besides, all those punches and kicks had a name – the Quiz Show Combo.”

“Come on, Bobby. In our day…”

“Midgets fought in McDonalds.”

A grinning Quiz reaches out to Show, tagging him in before lifting Dace up. As Show enters the ring, Quiz whips Dace into the ropes, the Horrorcore legend hitting them and coming back at Quiz – and running right into a drop toe hold from Quiz! As Dace falls, Show gets down on one knee, putting the other one right into Dace Night’s falling path – and Dace’s skull crashes into it with a sick CRACK!

“OOOOOOOOOOOOOH!”

The crowd’s response is much the same as Dace’s, who grabs his forehead in pain, rolling around on the mat, but Show grabs him, putting his back firmly on the mat as he climbs on top, hooking the leg for what should be the easy three!

“ONE!”

“TW - NO!” Va’aiga breaks up the count, and referee Soapdish angrily stands up, getting in Va’aiga’s face and forcing him to leave the ring. As Soapdish is occupied, Quiz sneaks into the ring, and Show whips Quiz into the ropes, catching him on the way back with a back body drop right onto Dace Night! Quiz reaches over, grabbing Night’s leg as Show taps Soapdish on the shoulder, the ref turning around and seeing the pin –

“ONE!”

“TWO!”

“TH – TWO!” Dace gets the shoulder up, and a slightly upset Quiz gets up, grabbing Dace by the head and lifting him to his feet.

“Quiz and Show proving that they can work as a team, catching Night with a smooth drop toe hold variant and a Double Dare, but Dace shows perseverance, getting out of the ensuing pin both times.”

“Bullspit, Mark, Show had Dace down for the count after that drop toe hold, and if it wasn’t for that cheating som un a bitch Va’aiga we would’ve had a minor upset on our hands!”

“Quiz wasn’t even the legal man there, Bobby! Soapdish assumed there was a tag, but there never was!”

Quiz grabs Dace, quickly kneeing him in the stomach to double him over. Deftly, Quiz wraps one arm around Dace’s neck, hauling him down with a swift DDT! The crowd boos as Quiz goes over to the turnbuckle, scaling it and posing on the top for the benefit of the crowd – who boo him! Shamelessly, Quiz flexes his muscles, causing even more hate from the crowd, but finally Quiz decides to pay some attention to Dace, turning around to face the now-standing Night. Quiz leaps off the top, his body outstretched for a crossbody…

But Dace catches the lightweight! The crowd erupts as Dace holds Quiz there, readying him for a big move – but before he can do anything Show roars into the ring, charging at Dace and mowing him over with a Big Boot to the jaw! Dace goes down like the girl Atlas is cheating with, still holding onto Quiz – who, realizing his advantage, hooks Dace’s leg for the pin!

“ONE!”

“TW – NO!” Dace gets the shoulder up, and Quiz, frustrated, dusts off his suit, grabbing Dace by the hair and lifting him to his feet.

“AGAIN WITH THE CHEATING! Dace had Quiz set up for some sort of slam, and Show charged into the ring and clobbered him with a big boot!”

“Boo frigging hoo, Mark. I’m sure that by the end of this show Kleenex will want a sponsorship deal.”

Quiz grabs ahold of Dace’s hair, dragging him over to the Double Jeopardy corner and making the tag to Show. Show steps into the ring, and both he and Quiz grab one of Dace’s arms, whipping Night into the ropes and looking to take him out on the way back with a double clothesline – but Dace ducks it! Show and Quiz turn around, both of them looking to take out Dace, but the charging Night dropkicks Show right in the teeth! Show stumbles back, and Dace grabs onto Quiz, catching him with a stiff elbow strike to the kissah! And another!

Quiz reaches out clumsily with a slap, his bell still rung, but Dace deftly grabs his arm, wrenching it over so that Dace is to the side of Quiz – and catching him with a Yakuza kick, sending Quiz to the mat! Moaning in pain, the smaller man grabs his face, rolling out of the ring to recover. Seeing his opportunity to tag in Va’aiga, Dace lunges for the corner – but Show stops him, grabbing him by the leg! Dace rolls over, so that he faces Show, and pushes himself onto his left leg. He kicks up, looking to enziguri Show – but the huge man grabs his other leg! The crowd erupts in boos as Show begins to swing Dace around and around, once… twice… thrice… four rotations… five… and at six, Show lets go, launching Dace towards the Double Jeopardy corner with a huge “Winning Spin” giant swing!

“One thing to be said for the team of Double Jeopardy, Mark, is that one is never far from the other. There’s always one of them to cover when the other one is getting owned – for example, in that situation, Show was covering for the hot tag while Dace was making his sickeningly faux-heroic comeback.”

Show struts over to the High Priest of Horrorcore, and as he stands over him, extends his arms out and flashes a huge, cheesy smile to the St. Louis fans, who boo the hell out of the former old school warrior. Show lifts Dace up into a sitting position, and proceeds to further entice the crowd by wrapping his massive arm around Night’s throat, trying to squeeze the air out of him with a devastating chinlock. Dace, completely isolated, tries flailing his arms all about, doing whatever he can to try and escape the big squeeze, but the tenacious Show holds on tight. Va’aiga, forced to watch this from the opposite side of the ring, shouts motivation to his partner, while pounding his mighty hand on the turnbuckle, igniting the crowd to clap along in unison. Quiz tries to silence the fans, shouting “Please, hold your applause!” This only furthers the audience’s cause, as a chant arises from the Savvis center!

“Trin – Ah – Tee!”

“Trin – Ah – Tee!”

Quiz is forced to cover his ears to drown out the sound, and with the fans behind him, Dace begins showing signs of life, shaking his arms vigorously. Show tries to halt this surge of adrenaline, but Night rises to a knee, and up to his feet again! To escape the chinlock, he drives his elbow back into Show’s gut once, twice, and three times, as Show finally releases the hold! Free at last (free at last!), Dace charges to the ropes…only to have Quiz, standing on the same side Dace ran to, lift a knee up right into Night’s back, halting his momentum! With the Champion doubled over, Show moves behind him and laces his arms up under Night’s into a full nelson. With ease, Show hoists Dace into the air and slams him down onto the mat on his back with a full nelson slam!

“That’s one for the entrance video,” Stevens adds, in complete deadpan.

“Glad to see you’re catching on, Mark! Never to late to jump onto the bandwagon!”

Show lackadaisically brings Dace up to his feet, and extends his hand out, as Quiz slaps it, tagging himself in once again. Show proceeds to duck his head between Night’s legs in a very sexy position, standing up and lifting Mr. Horrorcore on his shoulders in an electric chair position. Quiz scales the turnbuckles, and as he stands on the top rope, shouts, "Okay, now, audience, we need complete silence so the contestants can concentrate."

To say “the crowd begins booing” would be an understatement. Jeers sweep across the Savvis Center, and Quiz glances at them disdainfully. Without further ado, he leaps at the elevated Dace, completing a somersault in midair as he attempts a Lightning Round blockbuster to execute the Falling from Aggro Crag maneuver…

But Dace ducks! Quiz goes sailing to the mat on his back, and Night, still on Show’s shoulders, leaps off so he’s positioned behind the big man. Dace then leaps into the air and shoots his boots forward, catching Show in the back of the neck with a dropkick that sends Show collapsing through the middle and top ropes, all the way to the floor!

“I guess you could use the famous alliteration, ‘Does Dace do dropkicks?’ and answer it with a resounding yes!” boasts Stevens.

“………Stevens, that was terrible”

“Bobby, I was just kidd-“

“Bzzt. Survey says you SUCK, Mark.”

Finally clear of both Quiz and Show, Dace begins crawling towards his corner, where an overly anxious Va’aiga leans inside of the ring with his arm extended, waiting for a tag. Night crawls into reaching distance of the tag as the crowd’s anticipation grows to a fever pitch……and Quiz grabs his leg again, pulling him back and preventing the tag! The crowd deflates like a week-old balloon, as Dace turns around to meet his opponent yet again. Quiz quickly sends a swift kick to Night’s gut, doubling him over, and then wraps his arm around his head in a facelock, preparing to drop back for a DDT…but Dace blocks it, easily maneuvering the lightweight up into the air and over onto the mat with a Northern Lights Suplex! Dace picks himself up, and valiantly reaches over…MAKING THE TAG TO VA’AIGA! The crowd pops like said balloon hitting a cactus, but before the Maori can even make it completely into the ring, Show pulls the referee aside and helpfully points out that Va’aiga wasn’t holding onto the tag rope when the tag was made! Soapdish gets in the way of Va’aiga and tells him to go back to his corner, explaining the situation. The Maori Badass nearly explodes, shouting obscenities not to be repeated at Soapdish and Show.

Meanwhile, Dace Night looks on in shock at the fact that he’s still the legal man; so shocked, in fact, that he doesn’t even notice Show. Night turns around…

*BOOM*

…to have Show catch him right under the jaw with a thunderous lariat! Show scurries out of the ring before Soapdish can reprimand him, and with Night down in the center of the ring, the recovered Quiz sees an opportunity, and runs to the side ropes. As he approaches them he leaps into the air, landing on the second rope. He springboards off of them, flipping backwards and coming down across Dace’s chest, knocking the wind out of him with the Wink Martindale Moonsault! As Night holds onto his chest in pain, Quiz hooks Dace’s far leg and politely asks for a count…

“ONE!”

“TWO!”

“THR-NO! TWO!” Dace gets the shoulder up!

“I love it, Mark!” begins Riley, grinning, “Double Jeopardy is the quintessential team, showing perfect teamwork and million-dollar chemistry.”

“Damn it, Bobby, they’ve been cheating this entire match!”

“And that’s wrong because…?”

Quiz glares at Soapdish, a bit miffed at the fact that the springboard moonsault didn’t end the match. He quickly regains his composure, however, as he begins strutting around the ring, annoying the fans to new heights. Seeing Dace show signs of recovery, Quiz steps between the ropes and scales the turnbuckle to the very top rope. Once Night groggily returns to his feet, and turns around to face Quiz, the game show host prepares to leap off for a dropkick…but Dace lunges at the rope, shaking it, and in turn, causing Quiz to lose his balance and drop crotch-first onto the turnbuckle! The crowd roars at this turn of events, and Dace tries to follow it up as he climbs to the second rope with Quiz and grabs a front facelock, preparing for a massive superplex. Thinking quickly, Quiz holds onto the top rope, but this only serves to agitate Dace, and he releases the facelock and sends two stiff forearm shots to Quiz’s forehead!

What he doesn’t notice, however, is a 300 pound fox scurrying across the apron, as Show moves to that same corner and lifts his massive paw up, shoving Dace off of the turnbuckle and down to the mat below! As Va’aiga argues this with the referee, Quiz stands up on the top rope again and leaps off, flipping over in mid-air and landing back-first across Dace’s sternum with the American Idol Bomb! Opting not to go for the pin, Quiz stands up and extends his arms out to the side, letting out a hearty chuckle as the fans show their disapproval of the game show host. Show eggs him on from the corner, and noticing the crowd booing, the big man drops down from the corner and looks under the ring for something. He finds it and brings it up with him to the corner, before holding it up for all to see.

An “Applause” sign.

Clapping, Bobby Riley shouts at his colleague, “Come on, Stevens, do what the sign says!”

“Bobby, I think that I, as well as everyone here in St. Louis tonight, DON’T feel like applauding two complete MORONS.”

“How DARE you!”

The crowd continues their wave of jeers, nearly drowning out the commentators. Disappointed, Show throws the sign to the floor below, and Quiz drops his arms to his sides in disappointment. He turns back around to his opponent, as Dace leans against the turnbuckle, catching his breath from the onslaught of both Quiz and Show. Quiz struts over to Dace with a big smirk, before climbing to the second rope, standing on top of Dace. He measures Night’s forehead up with his forearm, but before he begins, he shouts to the audience:

“Survey says…”

Quiz then begins laying in the forearms to Dace’s temple, counting along himself.

“ONE

TWO

THREE

FOUR

FIVE

SIX

SEVEN

EIGHT

NINE

TEN out of ten people agree that Double Jeopardy is the epitome of-whoaaaaa!”

Quiz is cut off, as Dace receives a BURST of adrenaline and grabs Quiz around the waist, powering him out of the corner and sitting out, drilling the lightweight down to the mat with a Powerbomb!

“Finally!” adds Stevens, “It looks like Dace finally has the opportunity to tag the fresh Maori, Va’aiga, in!”

Quiz folds over backwards from impact, as Dace looks to a hyped-up Va’aiga, beginning the everlasting crawl to the corner. The Savvis Center begins clapping and stomping in unison, the driving force behind Dace’s adrenaline rush as he inches closer to salvation. Meanwhile, Quiz looks up woozily at Show, and begins crawling towards the big man as well. With one last burst of energy, Quiz shoots forward and slaps the extended hand of Show, making an official tag which Soapdish acknowledges! Show lumbers into the ring and charges at Dace, trying to hold him back. However, the founder of Horrorcore continues to crawl and reaches…reaches…

…AND MAKES THE TAG TO VA’AIGA!! The crowd explodes as Va’aiga enters the ring, first letting go of the tag rope, of course. Show’s charge comes to a screeching halt as he tries to beg off of the Maori, but Va’aiga will have none of it, as he drops his shoulder down, charges, and plows right through Show with a shoulder block! Show hits the mat hard, but Quiz ducks behind Va’aiga and begins pounding on his back…to no effect. The Maori Badass turns around to Quiz and begins laughing, before charging into the ropes, picking up momentum and steamrolling over Quiz with another running shoulder block! The crowd goes crazy as Va’aiga shouts, “TURN UP KICK ASS!” raising his arms into the air.

“And Va’aiga is on fire!” shouts Stevens, excitedly, “This will be the turning point of the match!”

Not caring who the legal man is, Va’aiga picks up the first man he sees, Quiz, and holds him by the arm, pulling the host towards him and scooping him up, snapping around and driving him down with a powerslam! Quiz rolls back to his corner and out of the ring in pain, and Va’aiga rises to his feet, only to have Show surprise him from behind with crushing forearms to the back of the head! With the Maori doubled over, Show takes Va’aiga’s left arm and sticks it between his legs, pulling the right arm up, putting the New Zealander in a pumphandle position. Before anything else, Show shouts, “THIS is your Final Answer!” before hoisting the 280 pounder up onto his shoulder…but the fresh man is able to shift his weight down and land behind Show, before sprinting to the ropes and coming back with his shoulder lowered, running into Show and tackling him from behind!

“Dace, it’s Decapitator time!” Va’aiga shouts to his partner, and the crowd roars as Va’aiga motions to the High Priest of Horrorcore, and Dace enters the ring. The Maori picks Show up and stands behind him, sweeping his legs out and holding onto them, hoisting Show up in the dreaded Inverted Powerbomb position! Dace charges towards the ropes to prepare for his half of the Decapitator as the crowd’s anticipation rises…

*CRASH*

As Dace runs to the ropes, the recovering Quiz sees him, and the game show host lowers the top rope, causing Dace to fall all the way over to the floor below! Before Va’aiga can even react, Quiz pops up to the top rope and leaps off, somersaulting in mid air, catching Va’aiga’s head on the way down and driving him to the mat with the Lightning Round neckbreaker! As Va’aiga falls back, Show, who was in the Inverted Powerbomb position, falls back as well, on top of Va’aiga, holding his legs in a pinning predicament! Quiz rolls out of the ring as Soapdish drops to count, the fans booing mercilessly.

“ONE!”

“TWO!!”

THREENOOOOO!!!!”

“Crafty, eh Mark?” shoots Riley, a mile-wide grin on his face. “Beautiful execution by both Quiz and Show, nearly scoring the pin on Va’aiga!”

“Unbelievable,” begins Stevens, “every time the Unholy Trinity has something going for them, there’s ALWAYS a member of Double Jeopardy to break it up! Will they ever get Quiz or Show to themselves?”

”Don’t press your luck!”

Outside of the ring, Quiz picks Dace up and rolls him into the ring. Nick Soapdish sees him entering and, thinking an illegal man is trying to interfere, forces Dace back to his corner! An infuriated Dace tries to argue with the ref, as Quiz enters the ring illegally, whispering something to Show, who nods, and Quiz runs to the ropes. As he comes back, Show bends down and stands back up, flipping Quiz high into the air and down across the still-fallen Va’aiga with yet another Double Dare! As Soapdish begins turning around, Quiz claps his hands together, signifying a ‘tag’, and Soapdish actually believes him, letting it slide. However, the game show host doesn’t want to mess around with a pissed-off Maori, and he drags Va’aiga over to his corner, lifting his arm up and slapping the leg of the still-groggy Dace!

Quiz kicks Va’aiga under the bottom rope and out of the ring, telling Dace to “come on down” and join him. Dace shows trepidation at first, but once he steps between the ropes…he CHARGES at Quiz, swinging his right arm with all of his might for a lariat, but Quiz ducks! Dace’s momentum carries him to the other side of the ring, and the lariat hits Show right in the side of the head! Show falls off the apron, and Dace looks on, surprised. Quiz uses the distraction and ducks under Dace’s arm, grabbing his tights, looking to hoist him into the air for a back suplex. However, using his weight advantage, Dace stays on his feet, and sends an elbow back into Quiz’s face. Quiz staggers, as Dace ducks behind him and laces his arms under Quiz’s, in a full nelson. Night arches back and lets go, bringing Quiz down onto his neck with a release Dragon suplex!

“This is just the Champions need!” remarks Stevens, excitement ringing, “They could be on to something here. Show is down and out, Quiz was dropped on his neck, and this is the PERFECT time for the Decapitator!”

Sure enough, Dace motions Va’aiga to come into the ring, calling for the Decapitator on Quiz! Soapdish tries to hold the Maori back, but showing some guile, he tells Soapdish to check on Show, outside of the ring. The pea-brained Soapdish does as he’s told, as Va’aiga laughs and picks Quiz up by the legs, in the Inverted Powerbomb position! Soapdish turns around to the ring again as Dace runs to the ropes…

*BOOM*

…as Show charges in from the other side, stopping Dace’s momentum with a lariat, catching him right under the chin! As Night crumples back, Quiz quickly shifts his weight and rolls forward, flipping Va’aiga over with a modified rolling prawn hold, causing him to roll all the way out of the ring! Seeing Dace all to themselves, Double Jeopardy look at one another and smile, before shouting two words to the St. Louis crowd.

“NO WHAMMY!”

”NO WHAMMY!”

With that, Show picks Dace off the canvas and military presses him into the air, showcasing his strength. Meanwhile, Quiz climbs to the top rope, applauding his team. With that, Show drops Dace down, and Quiz leaps off the turnbuckle with his legs out, as he puts his right leg over the falling Dace’s neck, driving him down to the mat with a modified famouser!

“What the hell was that, Bobby?”

“I told you, Mark, DON’T PRESS YOUR LUCK~! The Champions are finished!”

Quiz quickly wraps up Dace’s legs and pulls back, as Show rolls out of the ring, layomg a few stomps into Va’aiga as he tries to save Dace. Soapdish drops to count for the legal men, with the crowd booing louder than ever.

“ONE!!!!!!!”

“TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!”

“THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

*DING DING DING*

“I can’t believe this!”

“Believe it, Mark! The champions were just upset by the new tag sen-SAY-tion, Double Jeopardy!”

Funyon stands up for the official announcement as the crowd sits stunned, and “Come on Down” belts over the speakers.

“Ladies and gentlemen, your winners of this match, Quiz and Show, DOUBLE JEOPARDYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Quiz and Show look at each other like they just won Who Wants to be a Millionaire, as they begin jumping up and down in the ring. Vicky Black comes into the ring to celebrate with her men as the Trinity, roll dejectedly out of the ring and begin the slow walk up the ramp.

“Well, fans, it looks like Double Jeopardy rules the day, eh Mark?”

“Bobby, Double Jeopardy’s greatest skill is cheating, posing, and never getting separated…”

“Which won them the match tonight!”

Mark sighs. “You’re right. Don’t forget, we still have The Boston Strangler against Judge Hearford, and that is NEXT!”
