Guest JHawk Report post Posted August 1, 2003 SmackDown from JHawk's Beak (7/31/2003) You know the drill by now.
Guest Lightning Flik Report post Posted August 1, 2003 Yes we know the drill by now. Great stuff JHawk. Can I say more? ...no? ...meanie.
Guest Retro Rob Report post Posted August 1, 2003 One comment. Throughout the show the crowd suddenly popped huge at two unexpected moments (McMahon's speech and Hardy attacking Gowen). According to the live reports during/after those two events there were ASSHOLE chants, so maybe pipping in the crowd was down in the hopes of censoring the real reaction. Good job though, as usual. Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted August 1, 2003 I forgot I was borrowing the Mr. McAsshole name from you until now. Yeah, it's not terribly creative, but damnit if it isn't appropriate. Kurt pinned Brock March 11th in Pittsburgh though after the switch with Eric Angle, although that was a cop out finish to that match, of course. ...oh, and what the hell happened to Demott reviving the Hugh Morrus gimmick? That could have been, you know, entertaining! Even if for just the few us us who watch Velocity. How the HELL can you say Eddy/Tajiri was "flat?!" And the crowd was VERY into the match at points, so dunno what you were hearing. "Back to the hotel, and we have a foursome going on. Or over. That took all of what, four minutes for them to finish up?" I guess Noble and Gunn never heard of foreplay, and Nidia and Torrie didn't mind. Damn, talk about unrealistic. Guest CronoT Report post Posted August 1, 2003 Gee, three-odd hours since the show ended, given time zones, and the report is up. Watch closely, Spoon. It's all in the style and ability.

Ouch...yeah, he was late, but I thought the problems were technical, mainly.

Ouch...yeah, he was late, but I thought the problems were technical, mainly. Not only that, but the reports also seemed a little dry and lacking somehow. I haven't made a decision on L4W yet, but I was always anxious to read JHawk's RAW Report, because he always included funny insights and wrestler names. Like the master magician/escape artist Harry Houdini said, "The presentation is everything."

Don't get me wrong, I liked it, but for everytime they popped, they were dead at other spots. If they would have even done the Tajiri in the low rider thing this week and the match next week, they'd have been better served, I think.
{''({o..o})''} 0 Report post Posted August 1, 2003 Once again quite a nice read. And much love for the quote . I do agree that calling EDDY/Tajiri flat was a little harsh though.
Kapoutman 0 Report post Posted August 2, 2003 Great read. You're the only way I can know what's going on with Smackdown.
