How did he leave the WWE? Was he fired? Did he quit? Or was it mutual?

Scott Hall was fired after the Insurrextion tour in 2002.

He had basically been given 6,000 second chances and Vince finally had enough

He was Fired for his Attitude and his inability to get along.

I don't recall them firing him because he was a drunk...because if so...Hall had a good case against them.

He threw his chances away so hard that Kevin Nash even said "You blew it...Get out of here"

He was fired for getting drunk on the European tour. That was the final straw and they fired him

The short story is that Scott Hall and Kurt Hennig (Mr. Perfect) got drunk on an airplane, and got into a fight. This was after 9/11, I think, so the plane almost had to turn around, or land at a different airport.

Vince was so pissed, he fired them both as soon as they reported in.

this is the same flight i believe where Angle and McMahon were play wrestling and Taker woke up and thought angle was beating up vince and starting attacking angle...

Also..Dustin got drunk and sang to Terri over the intercom...

Sean Waltman cut off Dok Hendrix's Mullet...

Isn't that like three separate issue rolled in to one explanation?

Perfect fought with Brock on that trip.

Didn't someone almost open the emergency door by accident, or something of that nature?

The Angle/Vince thing wasn't on that trip. It was Raw only.

Some one oughta re-post the Flight from Hell Parody.

You mean this one?

By now you've all heard of the FLIGHT FROM HELL where Scott Hall and Mr Perfect were fired for being naughty! but you don't know the HOLE story! So I decided to interview someone who was on that flight, so here it is, this weeks' interview with Crash Holly!

Me: OMG it's Crash!

Crash: Hey hey!

Me: So tell me about the FLIGHT FROM HELL, you little lepracorn!

Crash: Lepracorn?

Me: Don't try and steal my pot of gold!

Crash: I won't. Anyway, the flight from hell. Oh boy, it was a such a fun flight! Mister Flair bought us all aclohol! Why I must have had...over two beers! I had quite the hangover the next day, I can tell you! Anyway, some of the bigger boys had even more beers than me! Mr Perfect must have had three, or maybe even FOUR beers! He was going crazy, throwing that towel of his around like there was no tomorrow! Meanwhile, everyone was chanting "Goldberg" at Brock Lesnar! It was a really clever rib! But Brock was really angry, then Perfect did his gum swat right into Brock's eyes! So Heyman said "spear him, Goldberg!" and Brock spears Perfect right into the plane's door! And the door opened and Perfect and Lesnar fell out, but I pulled them back in.

Me: You pulled them back in?

Crash: Yeah, I'm really strong.

Me: So what were Scott Hall and Kevin Nash doing?

Crash: Wow, they were REALLY drunk! I'm talking four, MAYBE FIVE beers here! And then Hall wrapped a towel around his head and said "hey yo, I'm Osama!". So Brad Shaw gave him the clothestline from hell and said "I'M GONNA TURN YOU INTO A FUCKING PARKING LOT!".

Me: OMG!

Crash: Then Michael Hayes punched Brad Shaw, so Brad gave him a fall away slam! And X-Pac cut Hayes hair off and Brad Shaw said "I'M GONNA TURN YOUR HAIR INTO A FUCKING PARKING LOT!".

Me: OMG!

Crash: So I went to find Mister JR but he was in the bathroom with Stone Cold! And I could hear JR screaming "BY GAWD, IN 25 YEARS, I'VE NEVER SEEN A RATTLESNAKE THAT BIG!". So I ran away!

Me: OMFG!

Crash: Everyone was going crazy on that plane! Goldust was singing love songs to Booker T! And RVD was smoking these strange ciggarettes, they smelled really funny!

Me: And was Eddy Guerrero eating pain killers?

Crash: No, he was eating tacos and burritos!

Me: LOL!

Crash: Then Ric Flair walked down the aisle totally naked!

Me: Did you look at his little nature boy?

Crash: I tried not to, but I just couldn't help myself!

Me: Yeah, I know what you mean. It's like when Rikishi's dancing and shaking that big ass of his. You want to look away, but you can't help but enjoy it! And eventually you start being aroused by it...

Crash: What the hell are you talking about?

Me: Uh...shut up! You suck! You jobbed to Pete Gas! This interview is over!

Crash: Aren't you going to ask me about my career?

Me: NO!

Crash: But Mister Flair said he's going to give me a big push one day! I might even finally get to do the incest angle with Molly! I have a bright future ahead of me!

Me: LMFAO!

(Phonecall ends)

Speaking of Scott Hall, anybody know what he has been up to after he left NWA? Did he go back to Japan or is he done being a wrestler or what?

That incident is actually more around THREE years old. It was retold in Angle's autobiography "It's True, It's True"

I really appreciate the help. A buddy of mine from way back called me and that came up, but neither of us could remember the excuse.

Correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't Hall against the whole angle with Austin becuase he was on the wagon and had custody of his kids and all. And that's when he fell off. And does he still have his kids?

Uh. No. There was no fight.

A) Hall got drunk ON the tour, not just the plane. Who WASN'T drunk on that plane for crying out loud? X-Pac cut of Hayes' mullet. Goldust singing to Terri. I'm surprised Ric Flair wasn't running around in his robe and boxer shorts.

B) It was Brock Lesnar and CURT Hennig who got into a PLAY-fight when Hennig challenged Brock to take him down. Heyman told Brock to go for it or he'd never live it down. So he did. They slammed eachother up against the emergency exit. Etc. Etc. Etc.

Scott Hall was apparently so out of it on that flight that they had to check his pulse on a number of occasions...

I'm surprised Ric Flair wasn't running around in his robe and boxer shorts

Rumour had it that he was actually strutting around on the plane wearing his entrance robe and nothing else.

wasn't Hall against the whole angle with Austin becuase he was on the wagon and had custody of his kids and all. And that's when he fell off

Hall complained that the whole thing when Austin beat him up and poured beer all over him was not right- I agree, I mean that's just not the thing you do to a recovering alcoholic? This was also during the time when they had Austin supposedly piss on Arn Anderson on Raw...

X-Pac cut of Hayes' mullet

Hayes nearly got into a fight with X Pac until Bradshaw scared him off..

I don't think Hall was actually on the wagon to begin with.

According to several stories, the public comments about Hall being on Anabuse were TOTAL bullshit. (Anabuse is a medication which makes someone ill if they drink.) Hall supposedly made a REALLY bad impression to everyone who'd hoped he'd reformed by getting shitfaced in his first few days back with the company in Feb. 2002.

There was legitimate concern that he wouldn't make it to Wrestlemania or that he'd be fired shortly thereafter, which is why Austin made Vince change the finish of his match with Hall.

Hall getting drunk at Insurrexion and passing out backstage during the PPV was the final straw with the company. Considering everything else that went on during that tour, he and Perfect were made the scapegoats but they weren't blameless themselves.

.

Wasn't that also the reason that Nash had no match?

Jim Ross said Hall didn't do anything on the plane. Probably got drunk on the tour. I heard he came in bad shape for RAW but he did wrestle and was released after the show.

BTW, Hall wrestled a lot more dates than what was written in his contract and reports said he was in good condition.

What's ironic is that WWE.com posted interviews during the tour with Bradshaw saying how he and Perfect went drinking beer in Germany and took Arn Anderson with them. Of course everything was deleted after RAW.

History repeated itself

*Remembers the same scenario with Jerry Lawler and Jake Roberts years ago

The Angle/Vince thing wasn't on that trip. It was Raw only.

Here's the story-

Scott Hall got drunk on the Insurextion tour, and was fired as soon as they got back.

Mr. Perfect and Brock Lesnar had an amature wrestling match on the plane, and nearly broke open the emergency door.

On an entirely different flight, Vince and Angle had a go, and Taker woke up thought they were fighting for real, and choke Angle out.

hope that clears everything up.

Hall didn't do anything on the plane because he was passed out from drinking too much

The part about Flair wouldn't surprise me, since he's rumored to have been a streaker regularly in his earlier days.

Not that I blame him. If I was Ric Flair I'd probably streak too.

From what I heard Hall was asleep the whole time and thus was rather well behaved.

The problem was him being too drunk to perform. WWE doesn't really care about drinking or any drug problems unless they affect performance, I think.

He stopped taking the anabuse and was back to drinking regularly.
