title is self-explanatory: who has/had the best-looking punches in wrestling?

i personally think it's a tie between kurt angle & bret hart.

I agree with angle and hart, i'd say terry funk and i've got to admit i like billy gunn's punches *hangs head in shame*

I like Goldusts punch...I think its the one thing he does well.

Vader undoubtedly. Kurts have become good to I always liked Austins as well

Golddust.  His match with RVD at NWO was better than it could have been because of his strikes.

The Hardyz, and Lita as worst.

Vader, and Goldust as best.

Texas Tornadoes (Kerry Von Erich) 3 punch to discuss punch combo.

Though most realistic is Vader's.

I've always regarded Bret Hart as having the best overall punch out of all the wrestlers who have ever competed in the WWF.

And for some reason, I've always thought that Shane Douglas has a really good looking punch as well.

Bret Hart, Vader, and Razor Ramon-era Scott Hall had some pretty wicked punches.

Austin's punches always looked kind of...weird to me.

uhm...Triple H's punches looked pretty sweet for a while.

*hides*

Vader's looked fairly scary, though.  Of course, they were apparently stiff as hell.

Matt Hardy has the best looking punches, but they're not even that good. No one comes as close as Funk. Flair throws a nice shot but he's not really a wrestler.

The Texas Tornado's are THA BEST

Angle's are along the same line as the Rock's. Nothing really special.

Vader's were stiff as hell and were very believable.  Terry Funk's lefthand was the same way.

I always thought Michael Hayes' left jab looked pretty believable, but he also got a very good sound off of it.

Bobby Eaton always had a very stiff looking punch.  It ended up being the only thing he had left after the Blue Bloods breakup.  Shame too, because Bobby was one of the greats

Angles depend on who is taking them.  When he's in their with someone who snaps good...they look awesome...  But when the guy he's hitting no sells (just take a look at any Angle/Taker match) they look pretty week and kind of silly.

They aren't really "credible" since I don't know anyone who throws a punch like that (all the way from left field every time) but they look sweet with anyone who takes them half way decent.

I like Vader's and Scott Hall's (well Razor's).

Angle's are good to.. especially when he's got HHH in a corner and laying them in on him.

The Rock (before he began to make it obvious that he was slapping people rather then punching them at the end of the strike).

Angle (when someone like Triple H sells them they look freaking brutal)

Angle (he gets mentioned twice because every once in a while they look so damn vicious that I actually say 'Calm down Angle, this is supposed to be fake'.)

I think that Austin has the worst looking punches that I have ever seen.

I never really gave this a whole lot of thought for a couple reasons:

1. 99% of everyone in the WWF sucks at punching.

2. Non-WWF wrestling I watch has very little punching in it, in favor of elbows, fore arms, kicks, chops and such.

But I'll give an example as to some of the most convincing punches I've seen.

Shinobu Kandori vs Bull Nakano-Chain match.

Now their chain match works a bit like North American Strap Matches, except without the four corner rule. So both are attached by a metal chain, you get the idea.

Kandori wraps the chain around her fist and I'm thinking 'boy, this might look business exposing. How could they possibly do credible punches with the added danger of the chain being present?'

Kandori rears back her fist and thrusts towards Bull's head, followed by the unforgiving sound of metal clanging against human skull. BANG! Over and over again, what a ruthless bitch:)!

The Hardyz, and Lita as worst.

I disagree. I think that Kevin Nash has the worst punch, while Vader has the best.

Vader really just clocks his opponent though, hence the thick ass gloves.

I always liked Page's punches because of the way he throws rights and lefts in an alternating combo.

RVD's piss me off because they ar weak and take away from his otherwise superb offense.

Angle and Savage get an honorable mention.

For most vicious-looking, I'd say Stan Hansen, of course that was because he was just hitting them as hard as he could.

For best worked punch, I'd say Taker (pre-99), Bret, Lawler, or Angle.

i loved Cw Anderson's left hand, but i think vader's are the best.

I'm suprised nobody said Randy Savages... his were awesome...

know what's funny...

Shamrocks looked fake

Savage's left jabs were nice but that was about it. I guess you can say the same about Billy Gunns and Shawn Michaels left jabs.

Vader was No Doubt a monster.

Right now, best is Kurt Angle. I mark out when he's sitting on someone on the mat and he unloads on them.

I think pound for pound, Bret Hart had the best. I never seen one bad punch by Bret. His always looked real when they landed. I always loved His and Austin's matches when they would get into the fist fights. I use to think they were really stiffing the shit out of each other.

I'm surprise No one mentioned Jake Roberts though

i like test's punching, lita's are awful- the absolute pits, got to mention debra tho cos she gives wicked slaps
