Guest razazteca Report post Posted August 4, 2003 Do you think that the Monday Night Football game will affect the ratings for Raw tomorrow? Is the hype of Kane vs the world and the McMahon Variety Hour be able to maintain the ratings above 4.0? Can Goldberg vs Flair last longer than 5 minutes? I predict that Raw will be 3.6 tomorrow. The world wants to see Lisa Guerrero's puppies, or see if she will be a walking brain dead eye candy reporter like that blond on Fox who does the weather report and that LA morning show. Guest Eagan469 Report post Posted August 4, 2003 It's the Hall Of Fame Game. No one gives a shit. RAW will get a 3.
Guest Lightning Flik Report post Posted August 4, 2003 I think it'll make a small dent to 3.8.

Guest ILiveUnderABridge Report post Posted August 4, 2003 most of my boys will be watching football so yeah that ratins will fall
Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted August 4, 2003 It's football. Of course it will have an effect on the ratings. Alot of people haven't watched football since the Super Bowl. The real die hard fans, will watch any kind of NFL game.
Guest the pinjockey Report post Posted August 4, 2003 I say two to three tenths. A nice little dent, but nothing like it will do starting next month. Vince better hope the MNF schedule turns out to be a dog (which it doesn't look like will happen).
Guest NoCalMike Report post Posted August 4, 2003 well from October 9th on, I will be in school on Monday for evening classes 6-9:30, so i am gonna have to tape only one or the other. Since the Redskins have no MNF games, I am gonna give the nod to WWE, unless there is a game with implications on the nfc east, then maybe I will have to re-think what gets taped. As far as this Monday. If Raw's ratings drop because of the Hall of Fame, PRESEASON game, I'd take that as a VERY BAD sign as what is to come, in september and beyond. Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted August 4, 2003 I'm gonna watch preseason football instead of RAW. I don't even know who's playing...but I'll watch it.
Guest the pinjockey Report post Posted August 4, 2003 This year's MNF schedule. August 4 Hall of Fame Game Kansas City vs. Green Bay August 18 Preseason Tampa Bay vs. St. Louis August 25 Preseason Indianapolis vs. Denver September 4 New York Jets vs. Washington September 8 Tampa Bay vs. Philadelphia (Huge opener) September 15 Dallas vs. New York Giants (Parcells, rivalry) September 22 Oakland vs. Denver (always great game) September 29 Green Bay vs. Chicago (rivalry) October 6 Indianapolis vs. Tampa Bay (eh, don't care, Dungy story at best) October 13 Atlanta vs. St. Louis (VICK!) October 20 Kansas City vs. Oakland (great game always) October 27 Miami vs. San Diego (eh, Seau story) November 3 New England vs. Denver (don't care) November 10 Philadelphia vs. Green Bay (should be playoff important) November 17 Pittsburgh vs. San Francisco (possible dog November 24 New York Giants vs. Tampa Bay (playoff important) December 1 Tennessee vs. New York Jets (possible dog) December 8 St. Louis vs. Cleveland (don't care at all) December 15 Philadelphia vs. Miami (playoff important) December 22 Green Bay vs. Oakland (playoff important) I think Vince should be a little worried with the MNF schedule this year. There only appears to be one weak game in the first two months (Indy/TB) and that has the defending champs. There is going to be a whole lot of "Fuck Raw" sentiment. Guest Choken One Report post Posted August 4, 2003 What? No Cincy? Fuck that! How can ABC live with themselfs? Only ONE vick game? I thought fer sure Vick would have 4 games at LEAST this season since N.F.L is pushing him as the Modern Jesus.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted August 4, 2003 I prefer to have the teams I like not play on Monday Nights. Monday Nights I like to flip between wrestling and the game...but Sundays football has my full attention.
Guest the pinjockey Report post Posted August 4, 2003 I was thinking that too. I was wondering since there is quite a bit of Philly and Tampa love, maybe they would have a lot of Sunday night Falcons games. Put Vick primetime on EPSN.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted August 4, 2003 It seems they target the same teams....every year. Change it up with an Off-The-Wall game. Philly (3) Tampa (3) Green Bay (3) Oakland (3)
Guest NoCalMike Report post Posted August 4, 2003 I don't want to turn this into a sports forum, but just what in the fuck is Dallas vs. NYG doing on MNF? I know the Parcells/NYG shit adds a little story to the game, but that is just going to be a royal asskicking. Stupid NFL scheduling.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted August 4, 2003 NEW YORK/DALLAS... Major Rival=Major Ratings.
Guest the pinjockey Report post Posted August 4, 2003 Between Parcells and any chance to get a NY team on national broadcast (I know they aren't real NY, but they think they are).
Detective Comics 0 Report post Posted August 4, 2003 Well at least we already know the excuse in advance for a low RAW rating.... not too much HHH, Orton, Mack, Jobbers but rather FOOTBALL.
boobshaw 0 Report post Posted August 4, 2003 We all know in this business that it won't be NFL that hits the ratings of Raw... it is Chris Jericho. He is a no talent hack that in the business brings the show down every time he is on camera. He should cut his hair and wrestle on Heat, that way Raw won't be affected. I know the Parcells/NYG shit adds a little story to the game, but that is just going to be a royal asskicking. Stupid NFL scheduling. Well since the NFC East has a deep rivary since the begining of time, it make perfect tv for a MNF game. And now the added storyline of the coach crossing the line to the rival team............works as if it was Austin who did the heel/face turn. And yes I know the Giants will destroy the Cowboys. This is not worst than the great booking committee of WWE who seems to be taking ideas from the SOAP cable channel. And gives us a women's wrestling match before the Kane Path of Rage segment that finishes the show. Hey maybe they will bring in "Mr Mega Ditto" Rush Limbaugh to do some commentary on the show. Rush by far is a superior announcer than anybody on the current Raw announcing crew.

Guest Tyler McClelland Report post Posted August 4, 2003 November 17 Pittsburgh vs. San Francisco (possible dog 10-4-1 vs. 10-5. How could that be a dog? That's going to be a fucking awesome game.

I know the Parcells/NYG shit adds a little story to the game, but that is just going to be a royal asskicking. Stupid NFL scheduling. Between the size of the NY TV market, the national love-hate feelings towards the Cowboys, and the soap-opera around Parcells playing the Giants, there's no reason NOT to show this game. People will be more interested in watching this game than the Indy-Tampa game or the San Diego-Miami game.

This to me looks like the game that always looks decent going in, but turns into two disappointing teams playing while every one just waits for next week. It always happens at least once a season. Guest hebtheeagle Report post Posted August 4, 2003 I don't think tonight's game will hurt ratings. I think that since it's preseason, most fans will only watch the first quarter, and have Raw on by the start of 9:
