First off, what would you guys if Bradshaw walked out, and he annouced he had a new manager, and then out of nowhere, Stan "The Lariat" Hanson came struting out swinging his Bull Rope around like a crazy man as he does? Would you guys mark out for that or would you roll your eyes in the "damn this sucks" way?

Also, can any of you give me some links to some Stan Hanson pictures, .GIF's, Bio's, and other stuff about him? A site about him or a bio and some of this other stuff would be great! Thanks in advance.

Sincerely,

...Downhome...

I'd go "Oh Hey It's Stan Hansen!" and all my friends would go "WHo The Fuck IS THAT???"

that'd be funny as hll but will never happen as Hansen has already turned down an offer to play the cowboy in '93 when wcw wanted to pair him with Dutch Mantel.

Well guys, my reasoning for posting this, is because I was talking to a friend and I mentioned how it would be cool as hell for Stan Hanson to show up on RAW and be the manager for Bradshaw for the begining of his new found singles career. My friend replied "who in the world is that?". Suffice it to say, I was shocked. Stan Hanson is one of those guys, that I just assume that even the most markish fans had at least HEARD of before, but I've now been asking some friends, and NONE of them have heard of Hanson, from whom I've asked so far.

I am looking for a bio and pictures of him, to show some friends just to have a precise something to show/tell them about Stan Hanson.

I guess I leared a valuable leason tonight, that being, never "assume" that wrestling fans have heard of everyone that you have, because that just isn't true, lol.

please... i bet most marks don't know who ricky steamboat is.

and if stan hansen were to manage bradshaw that would mean bradshaw would have reverted back to his prior character....UGH only JR would like that!

You're right, they don't.  I was watching WrestleMania with a casual fan (not really a mark) when one of my friends started talking about Ricky Steamboat.  The casual fan said, "Who's Steve Amo?"

Steve Amo? What the hell?

And how did Hansen turn down an offer to play a cowboy? I think that's been his character his whoel career.

it's so sad. my friends who are casual don't watch wrestling with me anymore since the incident when one said "who's the old guy?" when ric flair walked out to the ring. i went slightly just slightly balistic.

jesuit pig, here's the whole story...

in '93 wcw created this little faction with dutch mntel, deadey and another ass to play *funny cowboys* sketch for tv. They never wrestled. To give the faction some relevance, wcw contacted stan hansen to be the lead character, but he refused since, truly, this was an idiotic angle. the sketch were basically like this:

- the 3 guys are in some redneck western town.

- they spit tobacco, lots of it.

- they argue about something stupid.

- then embrace and dance like jerks.

go figure why hansen refused to play in this drug induced shit...

I can understand Steamboat, I can definitely understand Hansen, but if you don't know who Ric Flair is, you do not have any business being a casual wrestling fan, period.

I'd severely mark out should Hansen debut, even if it was as Bradshaw's manager. But whoever said it up above, was right on all accounts that the casual fan would have no idea who he was.

Blasphemy.

If I was with ANY "wreslting fan" and they said that in referance to Ric Flair, my friendship with them would end then and there, that's how much it would mean to me.

By the way, I can TOTALLY understand Hanson's not doing that sh*t in '93, it was/is one of the stupidest things ever, and even OFFERING it to him was a slap in his face.
