Guest PhantMan Report post Posted August 5, 2003 so HITC is a dead concept for 3 simple facts. a) with the elimination chamber who gives a fuck about the "simple" HITC? same fate as the cage match when HITC came out. b) it started with michaels doing a alarm blade job and foley falling to its marketing megapush and a few concussions along the way to triple h no-selling the former undisputed champ offense for like 30 minutes of crap. c) aside from foley, taker and michales, no one's willing o bump his ass. don't count rikishi or the gimmicked platforms since that's what killed the match in the first place. so what does trips book to avoid losing the fucking goddamn belt? a) a tag match where he loses the gold if pinned? no. b) a triple threat? no c) a 4 way elimination? no a fucking elimination chamber, thus killing the concept by giving the fans ANOTHER big cage bout not even a year after its birth. hell, I'd book another Chamber match in 2 years and that'd be enough before the concept become stale. ALL THIS SHIT FOR NOT JOBBING CLEAN TO FUCKING GOLDBERG! this goes beyond shawn"I lost my smile"michaels or hulk"andre passed the torch to me"hogan. the fucker is KILLING the biz for good! only for this cheap looking piece of fake gold Flair put over 100 years ago! goddamn, trips didn't even win the damn belt in the first place! it was given to him just to keep him happy like you do with retarded kids! I'm starting to really, personally hate the guy. Vince mcmahon... he's a fucking idiot. vince, the supposed GENIUS of wrestling just booked steve austin, the BIGGEST DRAW IN THE HISTORY OF THE BIZ, to look like a pussy against scotch hall, brought him back only to job to Hollywood Rocky and now is booking its creation into the ground by giving in on every demands that blonde haired asshole has. if vince really had balls like grapefruits he'd already fired the motherfucker! Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted August 5, 2003 After watching the latest HIAC or Even the Elimination chamber match and then watching the AMW/XXX "simple cage match" a while back...it occurs to me that it doesn't matter what kind of gimmick it is as long as it's used well. That being said... "Simple" Cage match this week Styles/D-Lo. legit huge cage too.
Guest PhantMan Report post Posted August 5, 2003 sorry but HHH IS killing the biz for good. he's acting the same his old ass-friends did in wcw. too bad it's 2 feds down and 1 to go before we're stuck with tna and roh 4 life (and that woyldn't be bad)

Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted August 5, 2003 No one is talking about any company taking down the WWE. There simply saying that ROH has better wrestling and occassionally TNA pulls out an awesome match worth checking out as well. It only has to be a one horse race if we continue to let it be. Guest Choken One Report post Posted August 5, 2003 We all thought WCW would live forever. Sure, Of course...WWE will be around for YEARS to come barring massive meltdown (I mean Severe Rash of Death...Some sort of Federal Shutdown)

Guest PhantMan Report post Posted August 5, 2003 the only bad thing I can say about roh is that it has too many highspots thrown in there to please the japanese marks... which is ironic since japan actually has psychology.

Guest PhantMan Report post Posted August 5, 2003 eheh... I'm just thinking about the possibility of Crips retaining the belt a la wm16... just to show us he's that damn good...
iggymcfly 0 Report post Posted August 5, 2003 Did it ever occur to you that maybe they just did this because Triple H CAN'T work a long match right now? They can't have the main event of Summerslam last 5 or 10 minutes so this is an easy solution. They were already hyping HHH/Goldberg, so this is just a result of the injury. I really think that HHH's political power is overrated. I'm sure he'll job clean at Unforgiven.
Guest 11and0baby Report post Posted August 5, 2003 Actually with Triple H's injury a Elimination Chamber makes sense and gets more people on Summerslam card. Of course people are going to say its so Hunter dosesn't job clean one on one to Goldberg but with Elimination Chamber if Hunter loses it still keeps the match going on for ages and we are guranteed fro the first time ver a Brand New Champion and the fact is if they went ahead with Goldberg v Hunter one on one it would be a Goldberg Squash on Hunter and then when Hunter comes back from the Injury we would be back at Square 1 cause he would beat Goldberg to get his heat back. So EC is the best bet to preseve the heat of everyone involved.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted August 5, 2003 If HHH can't work a 5 minute match with Goldberg...You want him to job in 5 minutes in a meaningless Match that Orton will go over in? God No. HHH found a golden opportunity to avoid the job and drop the title all at the same time. He wants the face run...He needs to drop the title SOMEHOW to Orton (face it...Kane and Jericho aren't TOUCHING that title)...

So EC is the best bet to preseve the heat of everyone involved. Except for the last two weeks have been Nash trying to kill the heat of Jericho and this hair vs. hair match will probably be more of that so "the heat of everyone involved" might not be as big for some of the competitors. I'm sure that the injury was part of the reason for this match, but it's also a pretty good opportunity for HHH not jobbing to Goldberg. And I'm not going to even say Goldberg will pin HHH because I seriously doubt it. Goldberg just hasn't been getting consistent enough reactions to justify it in HHH or Vince's eyes probably. Guest Choken One Report post Posted August 5, 2003 I'm still perturbed how RIC FLAIR...isn't in the match but Orton Is. Shit Just make it a 8 Man and have War Games style (throw in Booka for the faces)
iggymcfly 0 Report post Posted August 5, 2003 Anyone who thinks Orton is winning this match is retarded. Goldberg's getting good reactions everywhere outside of Canada, and whether he pins HHH or not, he will win the title. And as long as Goldberg keeps getting cheers after winning the title, he'll pin Trips at Unforgiven.
LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted August 5, 2003 I don't think Orton will win and I never said I thought he would. I'd love to see Goldberg win the title....away from HHH. Not by pinning someone else. More than likely if Goldberg wins the title from someone else then HHH will win it back because I do believe that WWE is trying to make HHH a Flair-like legend by having him go on this really long run. Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted August 5, 2003 So who is HHH jobbing to this time? HBK again or Nash? Goldberg's getting good reactions everywhere outside of Canada Wrong. See Backlash and Bad Blood.
iggymcfly 0 Report post Posted August 5, 2003 La Parka, I wasn't saying you said Orton was going over, that was Choken One. Anyway, I see your point about Goldberg pinning HHH, but the WWE isn't really that interested in having big climactic PPV main events. They're more into never really resolving anything so that they can keep building up the event for the next month. I say that (if he stays over), Goldberg pins HHH cleanly at Unforgiven, and then faces Kane at Survivor Series.
Guest VaineGlory Report post Posted August 5, 2003 I stopped watching wrestling for a while in 02, and I missed the first Elimination Chamber match, so would someone be so kind as to explain to me what kind of match this is. All i know that it is a kinda variation of HIAC.
LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted August 5, 2003 Of course being over doesn't equate to a successful title run. (See Hogan's run in 2002)
Guest cabbageboy Report post Posted August 5, 2003 I think they have to have Goldberg win the Chamber. I mean, who exactly is going to beat him in this match? HHH is hurt and can't really win it, no way in hell is Michaels winning it again, Nash is so not over he's under, Jericho is buried for good, and Orton is a rookie nowhere near ready for the title. Goldberg is basically the only option they have here. Personally I'd get rid of a combo of Nash/Jericho or Michaels/Orton (probably just let the hair match happen) and add Kane/RVD to the Chamber. Guest PhantMan Report post Posted August 5, 2003 I say give the belt to orton anyway. sometimes upsets do create a star, in the case of sean waltman.
Guest The Czech Republic Report post Posted August 5, 2003 I say give the belt to orton anyway. sometimes upsets do create a star, in the case of sean waltman. Difference: when 1-2-3 Kid beat Razor Ramon in 1993, he was a very good worker. Orton is average at best.
