Elimination Chamber

Recommended Posts

Guest Choken One

I'd put the E.C last...

Smackdown has Main evented 5 of the 7 ppvs this year and won the main event of the other.

Rumble-Lesnar won

NWO-Rock.Hogan

WM: Lesnar/Angle

Backlash: Six Man

JD: TBS/Lesnar

BB: HIAC

Veng: Lesnar/TBS/Angle

HHH isn't jobbing his title in the middle of the card...

The e.c in theory should exhuast the fans too much...

It wouldn't be the first time the WWE title mid-carded the ppv in favor of the "BIGGER" match...

it'll be the main event. i don't see them building it up, then tearing it down midway through the show.

That's an excellent point, that thing will be a bitch to tear down, so they might have no choice but to put it on last. Thats a shame that what should be an otherwise solid wrestling show will end with such a clusterfuck.

ummm...Don't they just raise it up?

The broken glass will be on the cage it's self...so it's not like *THAT* risk is there...

It's not just the practicality of have the chamber as the main event, it's the fact that the main event is supposed to be the big match everyone is waiting to see... it makes raw look BAD if six of their main-event guys (ok, bar orton) in a big gimmick match are put lower on the card than just TWO smackdown guys, regardless of who they are. I'll eat everybody's hats if the chamber isn't the main event.

Choken One, who do you think is going to have the strap after SS, then? I know Vince doesn't appear to like Goldberg on a personal level, but he hasn't exactly got much of a hard-on for Y2J does he? From a business point of view, I think he may just put the strap on GB just because he's forked out all this cash for the big lump and he might, just MIGHT bring in some ratings as champ. If he bombs, Vince can just drop him. Why not take the gamble?

On a side note, I personally hope Y2J squashes everyone else in the EC, turns face and has a glorious reign as champ. But then when was the last time the WWE did something that good? (Oh yeah, Vengeance - oops.)

I like the fact that it takes away 3 bad matches, gives us the slight chance of a good match in at least a clusterfuck type of way, with the gimmick helping it a little.

The elimination chamber was a big let down the first time we saw it. Granted, I was thinking it was going to be a little more interesting than what was presented, so that was part of my disappointment, but I just can't see this time being any better.

I'm glad we don't have to see all of these people in seperate matches, because my god, that would be a total crapfest. It will be good in a way -- seeing all of them beat the hell out of each other will make me smile, but I just can't see it being an improvement over the last time, especially since this time, it's compensating for Trips's groin injury and Goldberg's utter lack of talent.

I hope Jericho will win, but with the way things always go with the WWE, I'll come away sorely disappointed. It'll probably be Randy Orton coming away with the belt, which is better than some of the choices, but I'd really love to see Jericho win. For once.
