Using Process of Elimination

Recommended Posts

Guest Deebo

Ok, let's use the thing we all loved so much in school.. process of elimination, and determine who will leave SS as the World Heavyweight Champion.

Youve got..

HHH: Current champion, is injured, and from what it seems.. will FINALLY be dropping the belt. Obviously they had planned Fuck Goldberg to win the title, but since they don't want him as champ, they threw this thing together, meaning SOMEONE other than HHH is likely to leave with the belt. So hes eliminated.

Goldberg: What I just said above.. he was supposed to win the belt, now they put this match together. There's a chance the WWE brass could re-change their minds and decide to put the belt back on him. But turning down Vince's asking him to work the Australian tour probably didn't help him, not to mention he is pretty much not over as a face with any crowd in the entire world. Goldberg is eliminated..

Randy Orton: The WWE is obviously giving him him the Rock-like shove down our throats. I will admit he HAS been getting better heel responses lately, and what way to finally let him get pushed to the top than win the second biggest PPV in a match like the Elimination Chamber? Reports pop up every now and then that HHH wants to be a face again.. well what if Orton wins, gets so cocky to the point where he says he killed off the legend of HHH, furthering his "Legend Killer" gimmick. HHH comes back as a face, feud..blah blah. However, I don't think the WWE will give him the belt THIS early, at least not until he gets an IC feud and possibly title. Not to mention that it would be incredibly stupid to have HHH drop the title only for it to stay in his stable. Orton is eliminated

Kevin Nash: No argument here whatsover, they had the chance to put the strap on him and didn't. Nobody gives a rats ass at him and with the report that the Hair vs. Hair match is because he needs his hair cut for a movie role, I cannot see him winning this match. Nash is eliminated..

We are now left with Chris Jericho and Shawn Michaels. It gets tough here..

Shawn Michaels: It could happen, however it probably wouldn't be a good idea to have the same guy win the first two Elimination Chambers. He's already gotten his title since the comeback, and didn't do anything. His primary job is to put over younger wrestlers now. There is nothing you could do with him as the champ. However, WWE may freak out with not knowing what to do and give it to their "old reliable", Shawn Michaels. Yeah... I dont see that happening though, he's out.

Chris Jericho: Ahh, here we go. The man we all want to see with the strap. He's got going against him the fact that HHH probably doesn't like him very much, and his first title run didn't go so well, although the WWE did handle it terribly. However, Chris Jericho is very much over right now. The highlite reel is a great platform for a World Champion to come out and talk every week. There are guys he could feud with, unlike the others. Besides all that, he FUCKING DESERVES IT!

Ok, that's that. Using process of elimination, Chris Jericho will be your New World Champion at Summerslam 2003.

Unfortunately hell will freeze over before Chris Jericho wins the World Title at SS.

Jericho loses to Nash, consequently loses his long blond hair...

Come SS, he wins the title. It'll happen.

Thhere is a new report on pwtorch and 411 that says that Goldberg didn't turn down the Australian tour, he just couldn't get his papers (visa etc.) in time. So maybe he's still a possibility.

It'll be Jericho or Goldberg.

The process of elimination pointed towards Rob Van Dam winning the last Elimination Chamber, and we saw how that worked out. Nash is the only one i don't think the WWE would have win, with the wacky WWE booking any of the others could conceivably win it.

Its either Jericho or Orton...either way, they'll just drop the title to Triple H

I still think Orton is going to get it.

HHH is hurt.

Vince hates Goldberg.

HHH hates Jericho.

Nash blew his shot.

HBK sunk ratings to a 5 year low (since the last time he was champ) during his run in December. HBK is one of the worst draws in the history of the company, and surely even Vince realizes it by now. He is still my second choice though.

Orton comes with the fewest question marks. He's injury prone, but so is HHH, and he isn't hurt NOW so it won't influence the decision. He is also getting a push from hell, and makes a perfect patsy for HHH's long awaited face turn and inevitable squashing of him. HHH/Orton as the RAW main event of Wrestlemania. Count on it.

i'm still convinced HHH is gonna retain, start a rift with Orton in the match, and the Orton/HHH feud will progress from there. HHH, Goldberg, and Orton are the only three in that match who have a shot at winning, IMO. Nash is out, HBK won't get it, and Jericho is being jobbed out to RVD's B-moves right now.

We did this in the "Orton's in the SS Main Event" thread. General consensus is that Orton is the one going into the match with the best shot at winning. He's still my pick right now. If they opt to put the belt on Goldberg, I think it would be a transitional reign, leading to him getting destroyed by Kane to further the psycho Kane character and give him a heel run with the strap.

If anyone other than HHH wins it, I wouldn't be surprised if Kane wins the title either the next night on Raw or at Unforgiven. Maybe give it to HBK since he is a strong face, and thus would give Kane a rub.

I don't see How HBK would give the biggest ratings draw in Months a "RUB"...

Although It gets the title off of HHH...I'd rather have Goldberg play that role...Kane killing Goldberg would have a bigger impact...

For some reason I think they would adhere to an unwritten rule that if a heel loses a title then a face must win it. So that would rule out Orton and Jericho. Either Triple H retains or Goldberg wins.

or god forbid...they actually hot shot it back to HBK.

This is my order of probobility

ORTON

JERICHO

HBK

GOLDBERG

HHH

NASH

Although I know there is an exception to that rule SOMEWHERE...

Who so high on Orton, Choken? I believe that WWE are planning big things for him but I think he still has to beat Foley and Michaels before he gets the title. He won't get the title and THEN fight Michaels and Foley because those would be pretty risky main events to have (ratings-wise).

Here is my question

Since Goldberg has creative control why can't he just go "Put Me over Or I walk"?

And I believe Vince can't fire him because Goldberg has that Creative Control clause...

Didn't he learn from Hogan?

They had sense not to given Nash the title because no one gave a shit about him. Hopefully that sense extends to Orton. I actually think it will. I'm leaning towards Triple H retaining. I mean, which face would pin him? (it doesnt make sense for Orton to pin him and Jericho sure as hell won't be). Feud-wise, it makes no sense for Michaels to do it. And the Nash feud is over too. It all comes down to what they decide with Goldberg.

How's that? HBK is more over with the WWE fans than Goldberg is.

Goldberg is the un-beatable monster...

HBK is the Christian Goodie Two Shoes...

Kane should beat HBK...

Goldberg should be a tougher task for Kane...

I'd rather see Kane demolish Fuck Goldberg. If he's going to fight HBK, Kane must SQUASH~ that little fairy.

Can't we lay off the homosexual comments for a little bit? There are a whoel lot more words you could use to make your point that don't cast the gay community in the same light as Michaels. I recommend 'fuckrag'.
