Anybody with any kind of evolved sense of taste would prefer wide screen over full screen.

 

When my ex told be that she hated wide screen because of the black bars on the top and bottom, I just looked at her like she was crazy.

The people who don't like widescreen because of being misinformed or not being use to it yet, I can understand and will let them slide.

 

I was once like that, but this was back before DVD when widescreen was a new thing. Most people were misinformed about widescreen at that time. Once I understood what widescreen was and what it did I fully embraced it and never looked at full screen the same again.

I hate how the companies aren't educating the public about it and still constantly churning out Fullscreen versions of movies. They would waste a lot less money if they didn't release two versions of a movie on DVD. And calling it Fullscreen might also confuse people since with Widescreen you are seeing the full picture.

They do it to make money. They also do it because a lot of people unfortunately do not like widescreen. Personally, I wont buy full screen anymore.

Further Details

Thanks to an online retailer we have a first look at the artwork for the X-Men Collection which will feature the first X-Men 1.5 package along with the two disc sequel. Although we don't have any solid details on when this will be available, we're expecting it to street on the same day as X-Men 2. This should be some time in November. We will have the full specs for that title within the next week or so. Stay tuned for that but for now here's a first look at the artwork.
