Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted August 8, 2003 Probably a bad copy. I've got the InVasion DVD from KOCH and it starts to freeze up during the RVD/Jeff match and the last match is completely skipped. A bummer, but probably just a defect.
iliketurtles 0 Report post Posted August 8, 2003 It plays fine...it just like spazzes out for a few seconds when changing chapters. And you can tell the quality isn't like perfect, but it's still DVDQ.
Fökai 0 Report post Posted August 8, 2003 I'm sure that's how the DVD is, whether it's Koch or directly from WWE Home Video. The DVD version of the transfer has this weird "bleeding static" at the beginning of each "ACTION!" chapter opening. It bothered me when I first bought my copy (WWE Home Video distribute), but I came to find that the DVD was transferred in this way.
iliketurtles 0 Report post Posted August 8, 2003 Then that's probably what it is. Do you also notice during the Old Stone Cold Extra that Austin's shirt looks really fucked up and all digitalized or whatever you want to call it? I assume it's just KOCH. Karnage 0 Report post Posted August 8, 2003 Action! is just a minute of black after the Don't Try This At Home commercial for me then it goes to the menu. It's probably Silvervision who did that since they produced that title. And it's probably just defected or your DVD player has problems with that title for the digitizing and freezing and stuff. The only thing Koch changes from the regular WWF Home Video DVDs is just put that 5 second Koch intro at the beginning on some titles and the packaging is slightly different. I noticed that as well. Well, I paid 10.98 including S&H, so I shouldn't bitch too much.
DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted August 9, 2003 The only real problem I have with the Action! DVD is my copy takes about two minutes or so to get to the menu (as Karnage mentioned). However, I haven't tried my "Stop, Play, Triangle" (PS2 remote) method of skipping past all that stuff that I have been using on WWE DVD's lately. On that note, my PS2 plays some WWE DVDs real shitty. Sometimes it stops for a second then continues, but for some DVDs like Vengeance 01 (which I tried two copies of) it goes all crazy during Taker/RVD then stops and prompts me to hit play. SummerSlam 2001 also gets a bit choppy during the tag title match and Booker vs Rock match, but both of these DVDs run perfectly fine on real DVD players. I'm thinking of getting one to avoid future problems like this.
Gert T 0 Report post Posted August 10, 2003 Yeah, my copies of No Mercy and Unforgiven 2002 growl like hell when put into the PS2.
Karnage 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2003 Anyone notice how WWF/E letterboxes some matches for no reason? RVD/Jeff Hardy's 1997 Raw match on the Before They Were Superstars DVD is letterboxed along with the Bradshaw match I think.
