Sandman9000 0 Report post Posted August 9, 2003 Looks like Days Go Bye is this years big American addition, similar to Sandstorm for Max. Too bad last year was when people gave a shit about that song. And unless the steps for DGB allows me to do the funky crotch grab-n-shake move like the guy in the video, I'm not going to be happy. And while this is a little off topic, I'm probably the only person who likes Daikenkai from DDR Extreme. You can have your J-Pop, I'll take my J-Nu Metal. EricMM 0 Report post Posted August 9, 2003 Any idea of the number of songs? I'm hoping there's more than before. And how about a mode that eliminates the whole 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, Final thing. I don't care if I have to play on 3rd difficulty forever or something, I just hate not being able to tell if I fail something based on my skill or on me being on the 4th level (and the opposite being if I pass because I'm on first)
Guest TheBigCalbowski Report post Posted August 10, 2003 I heard 65 songs total. I believe you get 40 initially and then unlock the rest.
Jer 0 Report post Posted August 10, 2003 Yeah the number of songs is probably going to be about the same as it was in DDR Max. This songlist looks stronger than the DDR Max songlist. A lot of good 6th mix arcade stuff that really should have been in DDR Max is in here, so that's cool. I was pretty upset about So Deep being left out of Max. Days Go By is a good choice for an American original. Hopefully it'll have better steps than Sandstorm did.

Guest evenflowDDT Report post Posted August 10, 2003 "Twilight Zone" and "Get Busy Child" sound good to me (but using "real songs" just gets my brain working on what tracks I wish were included, how I'd love to DDR to "Smack My Bitch Up"!). The rest I'm not familiar with (although I'm sure if I heard them I would) or not so hot about. Whatever happened to Bang!'s "Shooting Star"? That's my favorite DDR track, but it's only on 4th mix. The "Neverending Story", "The Twist", and "Swing It" remixes from 5th mix are also sorely missed by yours truly. But that's not a complete song list, so there's always hope I guess. And "Speed Over Beethoven"! That's my new favorite. God, I sound so fickle talking about DDR songs...I wish I knew more of the newer ones, but ain't no way I can afford to pop down a dollar every round. Gotta return my friend's Playstation and 5th mix, so I can force myself to DWI myself to familiarity with the newer songs.

Well, you can get "The Twist" on the US version of Disney mix. Good luck finding a copy though.
Sandman9000 0 Report post Posted August 10, 2003 Don't feel bad Evenflow, I heart Shooting Star too. Yes. I'm serious. I do. Stop looking at me like that. I'm serious. EDIT: Shooting Star's in 5th mix as well.
