Guest Mik at Cornell Report post Posted April 1, 2002 WWF.com changed the wording of their Raw preview from saying that Austin would be in the house to saying that there is a strong possiblity he would be there. Now hopefully that is just them trying to build suspense and not another no-show by the Rattlesnake. Also, heavily rumored that Eddy will be on Raw tonight to start a program with RVD. Discuss away...
Guest Mik at Cornell Report post Posted April 1, 2002 Obviously that should saw one and only raw thread, damn typos. Here's hoping Raw will be a good one.
Guest Austin3164life Report post Posted April 1, 2002 The whole Austin/WWF conflict could be escalating, or the bookers and writers could be trying to build more suspense to spark interest into the show. Raw is lacking a lot of star power, so Austin's return to Raw would help boost the ratings, if he's booked well......
Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted April 1, 2002 If Austin doesn't come back soon he will lose any sympathy that he has both by the fans and by the wrestlers backstage.
Guest Austin3164life Report post Posted April 1, 2002 That's true. Right now, he's either being the most selfish guy, or the guy who's looking out for the locker room. If he's the first, this could mean he might quit. If it's the latter......I'm not so sure the locker room is going to hate him.....
Guest muzanisa Report post Posted April 1, 2002 An Eddy RVD program would be great, although I wouldn't mind if they picked up where they left off with him sniffing around Lita.
Guest JAMES900 Report post Posted April 1, 2002 I'm sure the wwf is working usHe'll be there they just want us to have that small amount pf doubt in our minds.
Guest razazteca Report post Posted April 1, 2002 Will Raw tonight be any better than the Draft show last week? The Draft had promise but became an after thought when the Rock would never shut up, which was the begining of the end then the last 20 picks were done in about a 2 minute period. So tonight Austin will return? Big deal a possible main event Austin, Kane, Undertaker vs nWo. Maybe tonight will be different, maybe the storylines will follow through with a good finish, instead of the good begining then WTF finish.
Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted April 1, 2002 I would love to see Guerrero back tonight. I would be really pissed if Austin no-showed.
Guest Mystery Eskimo Report post Posted April 1, 2002 Eddy v RVD would be a great start to the new Raw. frogsplash vs frogsplash
Guest Tony149 Report post Posted April 1, 2002 The WWF is hyping this as a "new era". Nothing probably changes except the set, music, and logo. If Austin appears then it's in the 20 minute promo slot. I hop McMahon doesn't appear on Raw walking from the entrance with his theme music.
Guest Report post Posted April 1, 2002 I'm hopin to see Austin today, I think he'll be there. I'm also looking forward to seeing the new Raw set and music and the new WWF Logo, which should debut tonight. I'm not a big Guerrero fan (alright, I can't stand him) so I don't really care if he comes back or not. Actually, he's a good wrestler, but I began to loath him as a result of that Latino Heat gimmick. Ugh.
Guest Phr33k Report post Posted April 2, 2002 Stone Cold is there and will be on the show. Again, people who are going to RAW live have reported to many sites that Austin is indeed there, along with EDDIE!!!
Guest TheDames7 Report post Posted April 2, 2002 Look for Dames signs ok people!! Dames - fears No One
Guest Austin3164life Report post Posted April 2, 2002 If Austin and Eddie return, you guys think Raw will be the better program than Smackdown??
Guest Choken One Report post Posted April 2, 2002 It's nice to see Eddy back but it's not really that big of a deal and it's most likely will occur in the 930:950 time slot during RVD's title match with whoever. Austin won't get the 20 minute slot, that belongs to Flair. Austin likely appears Middle of the show and never gives a concrete answer and makes mention of "meeting with McMahon"... If Austin appears then it's in the 20 minute promo slot. I hop McMahon doesn't appear on Raw walking from the entrance with his theme music. Vince already said the other night on SD! that he'd be there to try and get SCSA. The first split show and already he's going to be popping up. I think it would be really cool if Raw made zero mention of guys like Rock, Hogan and the other SD! participtants.
Guest Zack Malibu Report post Posted April 2, 2002 Hopefully we get some direction as to where this Raven/Dreamer/Hardcore Title angle is going. I just hope it doesn't direct Raven to a pinfall defeat by The Boss Man. I think a few trades might be made tonight as well.
Guest Mik at Cornell Report post Posted April 2, 2002 I honestly don't think there will be trades for a while. Don't get your hopes up.
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted April 2, 2002 I think trades would have been done all ready unless they are waiting for Stone Cold to return so he can be a part of the deals. I hope Austin returns tonight but is he doesn't then I would say that is isn't a very good sign for the WWF right now.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted April 2, 2002 If Austin and Eddie return, you guys think Raw will be the better program than Smackdown?? No. RAW is still a lot weaker than Smackdown.
Guest Brian Report post Posted April 2, 2002 They'll play up angle where Vince is becoming desperate for the NWO and Undertaker or Flair is tiring of the two before a trade happens.
Guest cabbageboy Report post Posted April 2, 2002 Well, Eddie being back is cool I think...RVD desperately needs a feud with someone who isn't a heat killer. I think an awesome angle would be Eddie coming out and kicking the shit outta RVD and breaking a few ribs. Think of it: Eddie can now use his frogsplash to even more effect, while RVD can't really use his at all. That would be bad ass heel tactics. It will be good if Austin shows tonight but I wont be grieved if he doesn't. I think Vince will only try and get in so they can have Flair throw him out and establish the separate owners thing once and for all.
Guest RetroRob215 Report post Posted April 2, 2002 I think Choken is right about the format of the show. 9:00-9:20 Flair sets up the show, mostly the main event, possible NWO, Undertaker, Kane involvment in the promo 9:30 Eddy and RVD set up their feud 10:00 Austin comes out, confronts Flair, I'm not sure how long they will drag out this free agency thing. 10:50 NWO vs. whoever in the Main Event
Guest Caliban Report post Posted April 2, 2002 D' Lo beats Harvard Chris in a dark match. Oh well D' Lo, there's always next week eh?
Guest Risk Report post Posted April 2, 2002 I think it would be a good angle if Flair announced RAW was COMPLETLY splitting from the WWF. Then he could take the WCW Heavyweight title, keep the Cruiserweight on Tajiri, and use the WCW tag champs to start a new WCW. A new WCW with NONE OF THE PAST CHAMPIONS BEING RECONISED. Than he could fire or re-gimmick the unpopular wrestlers. Unlikely? Absoulutely. Just what I would like to happen.
Guest teke184 Report post Posted April 2, 2002 WTF? Flair gets Heat instead of Jakked? Sounds good considering that Raven is apparently the new Heat commentator.
Guest Risk Report post Posted April 2, 2002 Sounds good considering that Raven is apparently the new Heat commentator. WTF? Raven with that stupid little prick, Michael Cole? TaZ was right last week... TaZ: "It's because no one likes you."
Guest teke184 Report post Posted April 2, 2002 Raven and Coachman were at ringside doing commentary for Oldust vs. Big Slow. I'm not sure if they were down there for the other Heat matches. Commentary on one of the matches confirms that RAW now has Heat. I guess this means that the Cruisers will be on Jakked after all.
