Snoop Dog hit by lawsuit from "Girls Gone Wild"

Recommended Posts

Rapper Snoop Dogg, who partnered in 2002 with Girls Gone Wild founder Joseph Francis to release Girls Gone Wild Doggy Style, was hit with a lawsuit by Jamie Capdeboscq and Whitni Candiotto. The two women are suing Snoop Dogg and Francis for improperly using their images on the cover of the DVD and VHS, as well as in advertisements.

In addition, the two women are alleging that Snoop Dogg offered them marijuana and ecstasy to show their breasts, although they were minors.

The accusations were included in an affidavit that was filed in the criminal trial of Francis who is facing charges of taping underage girls, promoting prostitution, and possession of drugs while filming in Panama City last Spring. The accusations against Snoop Dogg stem from the filming of Girls Gone Wild Doggy Style which took place in February of 2002 in New Orleans.

The affidavit includes the following, "Snoop Doggy Dogg, did solicit, lure, entice, and pressure, through the use of his celebrity status and through offers of illegal narcotics such as ecstasy and marijuana, Jamie Capdeboscq, under the age of 18, and Whitni Candiotto, under the age of 18, with knowledge of the true age of both Capdeboscq and Candiotto, to disrobe and expose their breasts for the purpose of use in a 'Girls Gone Wild' film or production."

Snoop Dogg, who isn't involved in the criminal proceeding, maintains that the women voluntarily exposed themselves and voluntarily consumed alcohol and other intoxicants while filming the clip. Prior to the lawsuit, the rapper severed his ties with Francis because of the lack of women of color in his Girls Gone Wild series.
