evilhomer Posted August 18, 2003 Report Posted August 18, 2003 Okay, please don't ask how this popped into my head, I don't know. I was just sitting around thinking about nothing in particular and Crush's post Demolition (post Yoko squash?) gimmick popped into my head. The one where he was the mysterious figure who was just released from prison. I remember he had a long hiatus before this return so I suppose it's possible he could have been doing time. This is just one of those stupid, insignificant things that pop in your head and it's bugging me for some reason. Anybody know the facts?
cawthon777 Posted August 18, 2003 Report Posted August 18, 2003 Shortly after the 1995 Royal Rumble, he was busted in Hawaii for possession of controlled substances (steroids among other things) and he might have had a few illegal firearms in addition to that. He worked the 95 Rumble but hadn't been on TV for several months prior (August 94, I believe) so I'm not sure if he was under contract at the time.
Guest DeputyHawk Posted August 18, 2003 Report Posted August 18, 2003 when he returned as biker crush with the nation (late 96), was that just after he had been resleased? he was inside almost two years?
cawthon777 Posted August 19, 2003 Report Posted August 19, 2003 I don't know exactly how long he was incarcerated but I assume, with how long it takes for a case to go to trial, it was around a year if not less. He was back in the WWF by September 96.
Guest The Real Nosferatu Posted August 19, 2003 Report Posted August 19, 2003 And Just like most guys from 1996 on, his first match back was against Jobbio Vega.
Guest DeputyHawk Posted August 19, 2003 Report Posted August 19, 2003 who then hooked up with him as an unexpected moslem in the n.o.d a couple months later..
evilhomer Posted August 20, 2003 Author Report Posted August 20, 2003 Thanks, it was just bugging me whether it was real or just a way to introduce his new character. Now hopefully I can erase the entire episode from my mind.
yankovic fan Posted August 21, 2003 Report Posted August 21, 2003 Pettingil had announced on Mania one morning that he had been fired due to breaking the law. Then Clarence Mason was his "lawyer" and bugged Gorilla Monsoon to let him back in. The real reason, I'm clueless as well.
Guest The Old Me Posted August 21, 2003 Report Posted August 21, 2003 I remember something about getting busted at home with drugs and firearms.
