Since when?  Verbal acceptance and a handshake is an agreement in principle, not a legally binding contract.

Austin/Flair should never happen, Flair shouldn't turn heel and he shouldn't be wrestling. There is no need to redo Austin/Vince with Austin/Flair especially since Austin/Vince has been done to death.

That ending was pretty obvious to me.  I could see the stunner to Vince coming a mile away and had a feeling that Flair was going to take one when he would stop dancing around the ring.

A verbal contract is a legally binding contract.  You need a written contract because one party can simply deny the agreement, and to iron out all the fine print details.

 

You are partly right, a lawyer could argue the agreement in principle factor for years in court, but they could be using it for a storyline.
