Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted August 24, 2003 I just brought like 10 tapes at once at the Mall of America. I liked the mallstores. We had one for a summer and I bought quite a bit, but the guys would actually cut better deals. They didn't make enough money to keep it open though.
Guest The Real Nosferatu Report post Posted August 24, 2003 20 bucks for 1 VHS tape? Jesus...thats a little too much to support an Indy fed. 10? Yes. 15? Pushing it, but 20, no thanks. You get a lot of bang for your buck- pretty much the best wrestling in North America How long are the tapes generally?
Guest Choken One Report post Posted August 24, 2003 for the RF videos I got 10 tapes of 6 hours...

Guest Stevie Franchise Report post Posted August 24, 2003 Just get your ROH tapes from a tape trader. Thanks, now if ROH goes out of buissness. I know who to kill The price and shipping will be much better. Of course it is, it's a dub. And while I like ROH I don't think they're wrestling's savior Then who is? Ring Of Honor is the wrestling promotion in America. Let's see if they're still around another year or two. They've only been running shows for 18 months. Of course they will. They ran a show in Dayton. Their the only independent promotion to runs shows out of their region. Plus your just mad that ROH is using all of the good Michigan talent. and in about 18 months their going to be too big for Michigan
Guest Jay Z. Hollywood Report post Posted August 24, 2003 Guys- Wrestlingsuperstore.com sells DVDs of some of the ROH shows. The shipping is much better than RF's- and the Superstore gets them direct from RF wholesale, so you're still supporting ROH if you buy from them.
Guest wildpegasus Report post Posted August 24, 2003 Is RF Video's shipping better now? I heard they may be improving. For anyone wanting to order from RF, I must warn them: I'm one of those people that have had bad experiences with RF Video. At least 4 or 5 screwups from completely unwatchable quality, bad packaging with that "dirt stuff" getting into the videos all the time, incorrect footage on tape, a couple of times well over 2 month waiting time, only getting 6 videos instead of 7 after the post office returned my sent out order back to them because of bad packaging, package being ripped upon delivery. They also have high prices and higher shipping prices for Canada than a lot of other places. Still, if the ROH videos are truly being used to help out the promotion and you can afford the money, it'd be a good idea to buy from RF. Just be wary! Guest Jay Z. Hollywood Report post Posted August 24, 2003 -Dude, DVD, Superstore-same price, much better shipping. And this is from somebody who buys from RF all the time. Available shows: Road to the Title, Crowning a Champion, Honor Invades Boston, Unscripted. All older shows, but all highly recommended.
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted August 24, 2003 1) I wouldn't mind UFC interviewing Taker at ring-side, but Taker as a spokesperson for UFC?? Nah. 2)The Sakuraba Saga is the best storyline in the past 6 years. Believe That. 3)That's exactly what I'm talking about Jesse and whole point of my initial post - the armbar is seen and used in pro wrestling as just-another-move-to-weaken-a-bodypart, and once you know (and felt) how painful it is to see it used as a throw-away move in pro wrestling while elaborate moves like the haas of pain, steiner recliner, etc. get tapouts is just ridiculous. However, in MMA if there is an armbar coming the crowd goes wild (at least in Pride), so the look of it doesn't really matter that much -it's just about building legitimacy. Plus, who wouldn't love to see a flying armbar??

Plus, who wouldn't love to see a flying armbar?? We'll two times in the Low Ki vs Dragon RRC match. Low Ki had a cross amrbreaker on AmDrag, and Dragon had to get the ropes. They made it look like a lethel move. Plus Eric Gargulio said how in UFC a simple crossambreaker could get a submission. So in pro wrestling they do make certian moves look lethal it just depends on what promotion you watch.
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted August 24, 2003 Yeah, but in the same match (at least, one of them) Dragon had a triangle choke on Low Ki and it was absolutely horrible (or Low Ki on Dragon... it's been a while... all I know is that there wasn't even an attempt to get the foot under the knee)
Guest BionicRedneck Report post Posted August 24, 2003 I find it easy to watch RoH and then still enjoy the WWE. Sure, when RoH is good it is pretty damn good (but so is WWE) but it also has some horrible, contrived, all moves-no substance crap that you forget about 2 minutes after watching it. Guest Jay Z. Hollywood Report post Posted August 24, 2003 My personal favorites (in chronological order): Honor Invades Boston Unscripted Night of the Butcher (I seem to be in the vast minority here though.) Guest Jimmy Saint Report post Posted August 26, 2003 Rob Feinstein is a fuckhead. I don't mind hurting him one bit. I'm all about "support the indies," but fuck RF with a rusty spoon yep that sounds about right. Feinstein has been selling other feds for years without giving a fuck if he supports them or not. Plus the fact RF is one of the worst tape dealers out there and the fact he has spent years acting like a cunt online.
