Hogan DVD Review

Love the format. I really favour X/10 over the star ratings. They are both subjective, but I personally have an easier time assigning a number to a match than a star rating, it helps to avoid things like "What do you mean Hogan vs Flair was ****? It was only ***3/4, you dumb moron".

Did you check out the Real American Music Video easter egg, Rob? It's f'n priceless.

Yeah, I took a look at both eggs (Real American and Tutti Frutti), as well as the non wrestling clips. I just didn't feel like mentioning them. ;)

Thanks for bringing up the format. I meant to specifically ask what people thought of it.

I love the new format. It's so FRESH compared to...well, compared to almost everyone. (Rob accidentally shoots on Dames who spends a good amount of time doing PBP along with describing why matches are taking place)

Light Years better than Scott Keiths "Review" aka Half-Ass Job.

Weird how long it took you to do a review on this. So you "just weren't feeling it" in doing this any time during the past year?

::Still waiting for SK's "Re-rants" of Summerslam he promised over 18 months ago and keeps promising now and then::

I just got the DVD at the end of June. What happened was that I had planned on getting it once WWE released it, but then it quickly went OOP. I forgot about it until I saw it popping up on eBay.

I wasn't really talking about Dames there since he does a good job explaining his opinions. I think we all know who I was taking jabs at. Actually, I guess there are a number of people. Then again, I had been using that same format that I knocked since 2001.

Honestly, after reading that review, I decided to do this DVD rather than any other tape or DVD in my collection. It just pissed me off so much how he recycled most of his material (or just said "look for my opinion elsewhere") and more or less said everything sucked, but then called it the best WWE DVD ever. This coming from the original Orange Goblin hater.

Thanks for all the feedback everyone. I think I found a second winning format. Have I been on a role these last couple of months or what?

Also, just so everyone knows, there will be a Booking Report this week (I already typed up most of Raw), but SmackDown will not be airing in NY until Saturday night and I have work as well as a WWE House Show on Sunday. I really don't know exactly when it will go up, but Monday at the latest.

I think his stuff is an entertaining way to waste five minutes, but I also think that he has lost most of his credibility as well.

Just checked my mail...

Absolutely awesome review, Rob. Good to see there are others out there that can rival SK's work in terms of detail and just generally helping people in deciding whether or not something is worthwhile buying.

::sigh:: Looks like the war is on. :firing:
