Guest I'm That Damn Zzzzz Posted August 28, 2003 Report Posted August 28, 2003 http://www.sega.com/help/online/gamefaqs/pso.jhtml IMPORTANT MESSAGE: Beginning October 1, 2003 the online services for Phantasy Star Online Dreamcast version 1 & 2 will be discontinued. The PSO US Dreamcast server, (11:US/Oberon) will continue to operate and will be maintained until 9/30/03. However, starting September 30, 2003 at 11:59pm (Japan Time), 7:59am (US Pacific Time), the server will be disconnected and no players will be able to log into the game server. If PSO wasn't so very goddamnned repetitive (while ignoring all its other flaws,) I might feel sad about this.
Matt Young Posted August 28, 2003 Report Posted August 28, 2003 Damn, that sucks. I was just about to pick up the game too.... Actually, I probably still will for collector's purposes. But hey, broadband just became available in my area and I'll be getting a cable hookup soon, so that's all the more reason to finally pick up an Xbox and PSO. I'm sure my cousin will be happy that he can play with me rather than having me take over his system while I'm over there. PSO... it had me at hello. The game's more addicting than chocolate chip crack.
Youth N Asia Posted August 28, 2003 Report Posted August 28, 2003 That makes the game completly worthless. Offline it's boring as hell, and online's the only way to gain levels. I loved the game online.
