Guest oldschoolwrestling Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 I became an instant Undertaker fan when he said this to the crowd who was saying "What?" " I tell you what, why don't you say 'what' if you like to sleep with your own sister" The crowd stopped saying it for like a minute before they went back to being sheep. I was laughing my ass off.
Guest Risk Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 Hm. Taker said 'What' two times in that sentence. Hmmm.
Guest HartFan86 Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 I thought it was funny, cause after he said, people paused for like 2 seconds...and then said "What?"
Guest dreamer420 Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 That was great. I couldn't believe that I was laughing my ass off at something the Undertaker said.
Guest RetroRob215 Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 According to a house show report, he said something like that over the weekend. Or maybe it was Angle, I don't know
Guest Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 It's about time, IMHO, EVERYONE on the card should be doing that. Maybe it won't be happening on Smackdown? That would make me happy.
Guest Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 As funny as it was on TV it was even funnier being in the crowd and watching the mindless sheep say "What" anyway.
Guest Nater Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 Damn, i thought Hogan and Hall's 'what' comments were funny.. Crowd: WHAT! Hogan: ..chu gonna do??? Taker definately wins this one though
Guest EI Cubano Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 Yeah, he said it in Gainesville this weekend, it was supposed to have gone over pretty well. Big points to him for calling the Gator Orange Flair was wearing "Faggy Orange" as well.
Guest Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 Oh yeah you're all behind Taker now, wait till he get's into the ring at Backlash to serve up another ** classic on PPV.
Guest JHawk Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 Hey, if Taker-HHH gets to **, it'll equal my rating for Steiner-Sid at Starrcade 2000. I could live with that considering what I expect out of it.
Guest Mystery Eskimo Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 "What" really needs to be stopped now. I couldn't believe Kurt was still pausing for "What"s on Smackdown. It was funny at first, but what's this, like the 3rd or 4th month of it? ** from Taker/HHH at Backlash would exceed my expectations too.
Guest Flyboy Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 "What" really needs to be stopped now. I couldn't believe Kurt was still pausing for "What"s on Smackdown. It was funny at first, but what's this, like the 3rd or 4th month of it? ** from Taker/HHH at Backlash would exceed my expectations too. Yeah--it really annoys the hell out of me. For instance, today in CA (Competitive Athletics) our coach was counting down for us to get dressed out in gear and it went like... "10!" "WHAT?!" "9!" "WHAT?!" And so forth... very annoying. I was only doing "WHAT?!" when Austin was doing it to degrade people, when Austin was a heel, and when no one else was doing it. I was the ONLY one doing the What thing at my school when Austin was a heel, then he turns face and.. BAM. *rolls eyes* BTW, I think Angle said something like, "Only idiots say what." on a Smackdown a couple of months ago.
Guest Dangerous A Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 I think a way to get rid of "what" is to have Austin get fucking totally punked by someone in a program. I mean get left in a bloody heap by someone. Then have that someone(Booker, Hall, Regal, Lesnar, or whatever heel he will have a program with) standing over his limp body screaming "what" in mockery at him. Then the next week have Austin cut a somber promo and when the crowd starts to "what", have Austin kind of cut them off to say that he is very serious about this particular heel. Of course this scenario would also require Austin to actually not say "what" or wear the "what" shirt and put a heel over. So we know that scenario will not happen.
Guest crandamaniac Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 [sarcasm] Why don't they use Fierro's suggestion, where he asks the fans to just stop saying it? That'll work really well [/sarcasm]
Guest Austin3164life Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 For the fans to stop chanting "What?" for him, I think he'd have to turn heel by saying "Don't say 'what?" for me!! My name is Stone Cold steve Austin.....an' I'm the only one who can say 'what?'".......i really want the Bionic Redneck back.....
Guest Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 Do you tihnk they said What for the hell of it after Taker said that or because they are legitimitley stupidasses? Damn, i thought Hogan and Hall's 'what' comments were funny.. Crowd: WHAT! Hogan: ..chu gonna do??? Taker definately wins this one though What was Hall's?
Guest Brian Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 Undertaker deserves a ton of credit because he was the booking force behind his feud with Taker and he should be helping with this one too.
Guest Cataclysm911 Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 Undertaker deserves a ton of credit because he was the booking force behind his feud with Taker and he should be helping with this one too. "?"
Guest Nater Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 Hall was talking up on the ramp and the crowd decided to help him by asking "what!" Crowd: What! Hall: Ill tell you WHOT! is gonna happen ... thats WHOT! is gonna happen This was a while after I got tired of What, and just the way he said What (like he was mocking a retard, which may be the case) was funny shit to me. The crowd kinda stopped when he did that too. You could still hear some mongoloid kicking the dead horse still though Where is a photoshopped picture of Sloth from The Goonies when you need it. What! edit: what was only cool when SC was a heel.
Guest Brian Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 Undertaker put in the majority of work and imput into his feud build-up with Undertaker, which everyone seemed to like.
Guest Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 I'm really sorry .. but whaT? Brian? I was really dissapointed with the Austin interview on raw... I was hoping for more of a tweaked in his character, not more 'whats' then ever.
Guest goodhelmet Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 Yeah, I think the lukewarm response Austin received is a sign that he needs to redefine himself. The wrestlers are turning the WHAT chant around on the audience and eventually it'll bite Austin in the ass.
Guest Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 Ever since he's turned back face and ruined his awesome heel turn (including the 'what' which was great at first) he seems to be stuck in a harsh rut.
Guest Hogan Made Wrestling Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 Have no fear, because Austin is going back to the only thing he knows how to do! DTA Stone Cold vs. The Evil Boss! Version...hmm, well there was Austin vs. McMahon, Austin vs. Corporation, Austin vs. Corporate Ministry, and Austin vs. McMahon-Helmsley Facgima, so I guess this is the 5th time.
Guest goodhelmet Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 Not exactly new, exciting or fresh is it?
