Gert T Posted September 1, 2003 Report Posted September 1, 2003 I was on OurLads and looking at depth charts last night and I saw Kevin Faulk as the starting HB and Antowain Smith as the backup. Is Faulk starting Sunday against the Bills?
Cartman Posted September 1, 2003 Report Posted September 1, 2003 Technically yes. For the most part it will be sort of "Running Back By Committe" in New England...(not again!) You will probably see Smith in short yardage situations for his north-south power running ability. Faulk is the much more versatile back and will rack up big yardage both recieving out of the back field and running. Think of Kevin as a much lesser version of his cousin over in St. Louis.
Gert T Posted September 1, 2003 Author Report Posted September 1, 2003 Cool, its weird because they have Smith on the nfl.com depth chart. But the RB by committee could work because of Faulk's versatility. I was hoping you were online when I posted it originally because of your banners/sigs, but I just didn't remember your name, thanks man.
