Guest Choken One Posted September 3, 2003 Report Posted September 3, 2003 Post them when they arrive... NO POST WHORING
Downhome Posted September 3, 2003 Report Posted September 3, 2003 If I can't be a post whore, can I be a post romantic? You know, really warm up to the thread, get to know it, and then take it out. THEN we'll fuck.
Downhome Posted September 3, 2003 Report Posted September 3, 2003 As far as SD goes, I can't wait to see the Mysterio/Tajiri match!
Guest Choken One Posted September 3, 2003 Report Posted September 3, 2003 Benjamin goes insane!? After weeks of Accusations he dresses in Drag PROVING he isn't Shaniqua and Bradshaw laughs and WGTT murder APA and lay them to waste like.
CanadianChick Posted September 3, 2003 Report Posted September 3, 2003 As far as SD goes, I can't wait to see the Mysterio/Tajiri match! They're doing that this week? Sweet.
Guest Coffey Posted September 3, 2003 Report Posted September 3, 2003 I'm posting in this thread in case something happens on Smackdown. If something goes down, I can say I was there.
Guest Choken One Posted September 3, 2003 Report Posted September 3, 2003 OOOOOK. Added to my Smackdown FB... Tajiri wrestles Mysterio to a 15 minute ****3/4 Draw...and Eddy cuts a promo and Cena cuts promos and we're happy...
MarvinisaLunatic Posted September 3, 2003 Report Posted September 3, 2003 I doubt they'll get 15 minutes. Probably 8 or 9, unless they throw a commercial in the middle or something.
Downhome Posted September 3, 2003 Report Posted September 3, 2003 I doubt they'll get 15 minutes. Probably 8 or 9, unless they throw a commercial in the middle or something. UNLESS? You and I both know there will be a commercial break right in the middle of the match, right as we all REALLY start to get into the match.
Guest Coffey Posted September 3, 2003 Report Posted September 3, 2003 ...and the commercial break is why the match will be eight or nine minutes. Six minute match with two to three minutes of UPN commercials.
TheBostonStrangler Posted September 3, 2003 Report Posted September 3, 2003 I'd fault them for the commercial breaks in the middle of the matches, but they're trying to sell the PPV's as best they can. When they offer a taste of a good product, then advertise longer matches with no commercials on PPV, it's a fairly effective system to sell it. If you can deliver the quality wrestling, that is.
Downhome Posted September 3, 2003 Report Posted September 3, 2003 When they give me a commercial break just as I'm really starting to get into a match, it pisses me off almost to the extent where I just don't give a shit anymore. Maybe that's just me though.
Guest Coffey Posted September 3, 2003 Report Posted September 3, 2003 Bah. It gives me a chance to piss and get a refill before the finish. It's free TV, so we know that the commercial breaks are coming. Besides, in WWE land we're lucky if we get any matches on the free TV shows.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted September 3, 2003 Report Posted September 3, 2003 the commercial break harkens me back to the days of WCW Saturday Night.. "We'll keep the tape machines rolling!"
Downhome Posted September 3, 2003 Report Posted September 3, 2003 I don't want to take a piss or get something to eat durring a great match. Call me crazy, but I want to see the match instead. Have the commercials before or after the match, there's plenty of time to do so.
Guest Coffey Posted September 3, 2003 Report Posted September 3, 2003 True, but it gives you another reason to buy live show tickets or the PPV's...
Downhome Posted September 3, 2003 Report Posted September 3, 2003 the commercial break harkens me back to the days of WCW Saturday Night.. "We'll keep the tape machines rolling!" Oh sweet memories. *ahem* If you weeeeeeeeeelllllllllllllllllllll.
Downhome Posted September 3, 2003 Report Posted September 3, 2003 True, but it gives you another reason to buy live show tickets or the PPV's... It gives me a reason to get pissed off. Not ONCE as I'm watching a match and they go to a commercial, not once have I went... "Well golly gee, I guess I'll buy a ticket to their every show so I don't have to put up with this shit." ...once again, maybe that's just me. It just pisses me off, because they do it totally on purpose.
Just call me Dan Posted September 3, 2003 Report Posted September 3, 2003 I should have been at Raw and Smackdown since they were both in my home state. It sucks to be broke. If this Smackdown ends up owning, I'll never forgive myself.

If this Smackdown ends up owning, I'll never forgive myself. Dan, know anyone else in BR who's a fan? Maybe we could pool together and buy a non-ass PPV, should one ever come out of the WWE.

Teke, ass or not, I haven't missed a PPV in 2 years. I don't plan on it either. I knew I remembered you being from this area as well. I've got some friends who are fans, and an old high school friend, me, and his roomate are always watching them. I'd have no problem getting together.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted September 3, 2003 Report Posted September 3, 2003 So, whats up on the spoiler front?
Guest wwF1587 Posted September 3, 2003 Report Posted September 3, 2003 so is taker going to tap to the ankle lock or stay in it for five minutes and make a heros escape bullshit..... FINAL predictions right now bitch.. I predict he wont
MarvinisaLunatic Posted September 3, 2003 Report Posted September 3, 2003 Brock will interfere. Taker vs Brock program gets set up. Pretty simple actually. I said it last week..
AndrewTS Posted September 3, 2003 Report Posted September 3, 2003 so is taker going to tap to the ankle lock or stay in it for five minutes and make a heros escape bullshit..... FINAL predictions right now bitch.. I predict he wont Either way, he'll stay in the hold too long, and do his "moaning" that sounds like he's getting a massage from a big-breasted Swedish masseuse rather than having muscles and tendons twisted in unnatural ways. "Ahhh...ahhhhhh....ahhhhh..."
Just call me Dan Posted September 3, 2003 Report Posted September 3, 2003 Taker's sounds during matches have been the source of MUCH comedy over the years. If you can, go back and watch Summerslam 01 where he starts pounding away at DDP in the corner. WTF? I can't watch it anymore because of the career killing that went on to take place as the match progressed, but it is funny nonethless. Taker WILL NOT lay down clean for Angle because he did sop for Brock, who in turn jobbed out to Angle, meaning Taker has to reset the system of chacks and balances.

Got the DVD, but haven't seen that match in a while...I believe it was the cage match where the BoD let Kanyon escape the cage, but then beat the unholy hell out of DDP. Taker was trash talking him in the corner, right? I forget what he said...
