Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted September 6, 2003 This won't do much to stop the downloading, as shitty music still exists, as does UNDERGROUND MUSIC (which, I think we all know, is what most music fans will wind up downloading). Why buy a CD if you can't get a sample for it? I really don't think this will do much to get rid of downloading. Sure, less money paid for CDs is a plus, but hey, why pay less money for a CD when I can see if I like the artist first?
Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted September 6, 2003 Underground is kind of a vague term though. I mean, I can walk into my local store with crappy selection and find, say..Shadows Fall, or some Cradle of Filth. Pretty much all the bands we really mention in detail on here are ALL signed, and are getting a tremendous amount more exposure than say, your friendly neighborhood Necrobucket. I just think it's screwy to call something "Underground" when it's widely available stuff, when you really think about it.

Once again I must refer to used cd stores where at least the ones I frequent have listening booths...Where you ask a copy of a cd your interested in and you can listen to the album for 15 minutes to sample it...
