Guest Dangerous A Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 Since everyone and their grandma jumped all over HHH for coming in big and being juiced up, I thought I'd like to hear smarks defend one of their darlings, Eddy Guerrero. He came in last night YOKED folks. I know the extra weight probrably won't hurt his workrate like it has the game, I just wanted to point out that one of the internet darlings is also probrably on the juice.(since none of the internet darlings ever 'roid up?!?!)
Guest Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 I could really give a damn who is on the juice, pain killers, alcohol, etc, etc. Hey, if it helps them put on good matches then be it. That's all I ask for.
Guest Anglesault Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 I'm no Eddy fan, but I don't think it has made him worthless like it did Hunter.
Guest Some Guy Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 I don't really care that he is roiding, same with HHH but when it affects the wrestler's mobility and workrate I think they shoul dpull the needle out of their asses for a while. BTW, in another topic I stated that I thougth Eddy was on roids and would get a free pass, until now he has.
Guest Mole Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 Eddy is on roids? Are you sure? He didn't look all that buff.
Guest Austin3164life Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 I think he probably is, because he looked much more cut and bigger than he used to....especially when he spit on RVD......he flexed like crazy
Guest Some Guy Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 molestomp, look at some of his ECW and WCW footage and compare his muscle mass with last night. Eddy has a tendency to get jacked up and then get injured or lazy in the gym or of the roids and downsize, then misteriously he is jacked up again in a few months. Me thinks he's on the juice.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 We mentioned it quite a bit in the RAW thread. Yes, you are right. He is definitely on something.
Guest Dangerous A Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 Something I was wondering about both Eddy and HHH and their getting bigger. When Eddy had his last injury(which was a hamstring I believe) he put on some bulk. Back then there was a lot going around that Eddy was on the juice. HHH also had a leg injury. If you have a leg injury, it greatly reduces your ability to do cardio work. I am not saying that Eddy and HHH did or didn't juice recently, but I am asking to look at facts. If all you do is lift weights and eat like a horse, you are going to get bigger, steroids or not. If you don't balance it out with some cardio. Both men may have been reluctant to train hard cardio because of their leg injuries. I am somewhat of a gymrat and I've pulled my hamstring before.(hurts like a motherfucker by the way) I was reluctant to hit the treadmill or even an exercise bike for weeks. I did contiue to lift and I put on around 12 ibs and I don't do roids or supplements with the exception of a protein bar here and there.
Guest Flyboy Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 We mentioned it quite a bit in the RAW thread. Yes, you are right. He is definitely on something. Stacker 2?
Guest Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 Angle: (Watching a booking meeting with Triple H in it) Damnit, I'm getting buried again!! It's true! It's damn true!! Austin: Shit, You ain't lyin', son!! This time I'm goin' with ya!!! Hahahahahaha!!!
Guest Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 I don't even think steroids can help Eddie's personality get over. That is...if he ever had one.
Guest Special K Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 I always thought Eddie had great charisma in-ring, and decent mic skills (which would be improved if he drops the ridiculous accent, he's from Texas!) And if he can still go, then I don't really care if he juices up, it's his own health risk. HHH was juicing long before this last return, but many think it was going overboard that caused his sluggishness now. Heck, the ultimate internet darling (and one of my personal faves too) Benoit is quite clearly roiding up. Compare his face now to his face 5-10 years ago, he looks much more apish. No one cares because he's still one of the best ever.
Guest Brian Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 Ehh, Eddie's still better than 99% of the active roster when he wants to be.
Guest One Bad Apple Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 Who cares what he's on? As a very selfish individual, I have no reason to be concerned about his physical well-being as long as it doesn't hurt his workrate.
Guest Special K Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 I'm assuming that was cynicism and I agree. But Eddie and many others could work just as well when not on the juice. It's the WWF who loves roided up he-men. It's just something that has to be accepted. I mean, hell, my favorite wrestlers are in japan, and I doubt Mutoh and Kawada use roids. The WWF is just absorbed with the 'look'. I wish they wouldn't use roids, but unfortunately it's pretty much the norm. Shit, one of my favorite wrestlers, Rude, probably died because of roids/painkillers. I'd prefer they didn't, but as long as the WWF rewards those who do, I can choose who I like based on ringwork, and charisma.
Guest Brian Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 Kawada used steroids for a short period when he was in North America and a little in his early career after coming back.
Guest Pidgerii-4q2 Posted April 4, 2002 Report Posted April 4, 2002 So what's the deal - I thought Eddy had been released? Shit the WWA have been using him in their promos for their show this month (as well as Scott Steiner). Just on the WWA - in the ad they claim "by popular demand - Sid Vicious!" Who the fuck popularly demanded Sid Vicious?
Guest notJames Posted April 4, 2002 Report Posted April 4, 2002 He was. But they brought him back again for Da Split. Seems to be an awful lot of them coming back. Hey, as long as he's still as good as before and can stay sober behind the wheel and whatnot, I'm happy. Just don't bring back Brian Christopher. Let him rot in the WWA with Sid and Jarrett.
Guest dreamer420 Posted April 4, 2002 Report Posted April 4, 2002 Jarrett is gone from the WWA to work on his own promotion. Sid is nuts and probably won't last long, ditto for Steiner too. Looks like the Grandmaster is the future of the WWA!
