dubq 0 Report post Posted September 8, 2003 Hey all, I'm trying to help a friend upgrade her computer and have a lil question.. First off, we know her machine takes RDRAM - she currently has two 64MB modules of 16-bit (184pin) RDRAM in the machine. She's running a P4, as well. Now, the question. We want to move her up to 512...but we're not sure if her computer can only handle PC800.. or if it can handle PC1066 as well. Is there a way to find out - through the system - what her bus can handle? I'm guessing it can handle both, since it is a P4.. but I want to be on the safe side... she's pretty much dealing with a 'clone' that her brother put together, so there's no manufacturer that we can call up or anything like that. Any help would be appreciated...
MrRant 0 Report post Posted September 8, 2003 Go to www.crucial.com and get memory from there. If it is a brand name computer (Dell, HP etc) they have all the models listed and also what type of RAM to use and how much.

Hmm... buy both kinds and make sure the store has a good return policy?
