Guest Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 If you've ever had one or more of these holds applied to you by a good buddy (or enemy), which do you think is truly the most painful?
Guest Dace59 Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 Mmmm.. why is Lion Tamer (Walls of Jericho) one move? They are two very different moves. WOJ doesn't hurt, Lion Tamer F-in Kills! Good choke with body scissors kills... but.. Inverted Surfboard with Dragon Sleeper... oh... my... god! Oh... and this is what my moves thread is for really.. to bad you can't start a poll in a running thread.
Guest crandamaniac Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 My vote is for the Million Dollar Dream. Any kind of choking hold really hurts a hell of a lot. In one of my old graphic arts class in high school, you'd be working on anything, and somebody would put a choke hold on you (sleeper, million dollar dream, tazmission, etc) and if they held it long enough, you'd about pass out. (I almost did one time)
Guest goodhelmet Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 I voted for the Crossface simply because Benoit's my favorite wrestler right now. oh well.
Guest TheHulkster Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 In reality, while these finishers might be visually appealing, they don't hurt a whole lot in real life. Most of the pain from the boston crab and the sharpshooter comes from the guy sitting on the other guy's back. The crossface doesn't hurt a whole lot unless you lock your fingers under the nose and pull up really hard. The figure 4 can hurt if you apply pressure correctly, so i picked that. In reality, the most damaging move in wrestling is the headlock. If you get a good headlock on someone, they are fucked.
Guest Singular Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 My Buddy put me in a figure four last week and it hurt like hell. Felt like my shin was going to split in half. Crossface Chickenwing hurt like a motha too.
Guest Dr. Wrestlingphysics Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 The ankle lock barely hurts at all, and even done to the extreme you don't feel in danger of a broken bone. I voted for "other", in this case meaning a standard armbar submission. Makes my sister tap out like a bitch every time!
Guest razazteca Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 I fear the Rito Romero Special Super Crazy's version Octopus by Shocker all variartions of the backbreaker
Guest Austin3164life Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 I can't believe nobody even mentioned the Bow & Arrow, or the Texas Cloverleaf....
Guest Kahran Ramsus Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 The Camel Clutch. Similar to the Crossface, but there is a lot more pressure put on you.
Guest Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 I have been put in: Figure 4 leglock Crossface Chickenwing Tazzmission Anklelock Bearhug Iron Claw Stomach Claw Boston Crab The Figure Four hurt the worst, I screamed while in that move. I have also been powerbombed and Chokeslammed.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 Cross Armbar.... It will fuck you up.
Guest dreamer420 Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 Whenever my roommate and I wrestle around I always lock the Tazmission on him and I can usually make him tap within a few minutes
Guest Anglesault Posted April 4, 2002 Report Posted April 4, 2002 I've only put moves on people. The Liontamer is a really cool, especially if you have a smaller person. And the figure four is awesome, especially if you can get leverage. (BTW-Is the Cloverleaf anything more than a standing figure four?) The Regal Stretch and the Rings of Saturn (Surprisingly) work well too. I can never get the Crossface locked in.
Guest Cataclysm911 Posted April 4, 2002 Report Posted April 4, 2002 The Camel Clutch. Similar to the Crossface, but there is a lot more pressure put on you. Oh hell yeah. Iron Shiek version hurts like a mother fucker. The Steiner Recliner is a joke, but the Skieks hurts. I think that the Sleeper Hold is the most painful. I don't even know if it was on the list or not. You can kill someone with it. Eventually, they will pass out, but if you keep pressure applied after they pass out.. it's ova jack!
Guest Dace59 Posted April 4, 2002 Report Posted April 4, 2002 BTW-Is the Cloverleaf anything more than a standing figure four?) A Cloverleaf is a figure four boston crab. A standing figure four, is just that, you put them in the figure four while you're standing up.
Guest Posted April 4, 2002 Report Posted April 4, 2002 Everyone fears the Regal Stretch. it really is fuckin good.
Guest Shaved Bear Posted April 4, 2002 Report Posted April 4, 2002 o man the walls of jericho, if done right, like he used to do in WCW wil make you scream alot
Guest CED Ordonez Posted April 4, 2002 Report Posted April 4, 2002 Figure Four is a bitch to get put in, but believe it or not Rings of Saturn v2.0 (aka Stranglehold Gamma) is probably the worst since it kills your neck. Who'd ever of thought Saturn would have one of the most painful finishers after having the weakest one in the original RoS?
Guest Kahran Ramsus Posted April 4, 2002 Report Posted April 4, 2002 Saturn has a new Rings of Saturn?
Guest Nater Posted April 4, 2002 Report Posted April 4, 2002 Both of jerichos moves can hurt a lot if you use them on somebody smaller than you. The figure-4 didnt hurt too much, but it does on the person using it when you reverse it.
Guest CED Ordonez Posted April 4, 2002 Report Posted April 4, 2002 Saturn has a new Rings of Saturn? Yes he does, but seeing that he's Jakked fodder, I'm not amazed that many people are unaware of it. Like I said, his new RoS is the Stranglehold Gamma, kind of a weird and complicated way to stretch a guy's neck, but still effective. Much more effective than the original "Lemme stretch your pecs out for ya while I shake my head around" RoS.
Guest Anglesault Posted April 4, 2002 Report Posted April 4, 2002 o man the walls of jericho, if done right, like he used to do in WCW wil make you scream alot The Liontamer, not the Walls.
Guest razazteca Posted April 4, 2002 Report Posted April 4, 2002 Tajeri's Tranatula Nagata's figure 4 lock Dragon Sleeper STF by Jazz looks stiff especially when done to Trish :0 Cobra Clutch Torture Rack Eddy Guerrero/Muto deathlock bridge chinlock move Gory Guerrero Special 2000 Hangman submission move Fujiwara armbar
Guest Dangerous A Posted April 4, 2002 Report Posted April 4, 2002 The cross armbreaker (or juji-gatame) is DAMN painful!
Guest Posted April 4, 2002 Report Posted April 4, 2002 I slap the Tazmission on by brother when he wants to get rough...works every time. The fucking boston and half crabs hurt like a bitch on those quads son.
Guest Posted April 4, 2002 Report Posted April 4, 2002 I'd say the poke to the eyes would hurt the most. Cause if you can't see who is beating you up you have no chance. Unless your like VanDamn from bloodsport with your ancient blind man karate. Poke to the eyes should be renamed the 3Stoogemission.
Guest J*ingus Posted April 4, 2002 Report Posted April 4, 2002 We'll assume that the hold is being applied properly, with the maximum pressure possible: Sharpshooter: fucking agonizing, and a bitch to get out off too. Figure 4: hurts worse than it looks, but not hard to escape. Crippler Crossface: depends on how flexible your neck is. Lion Tamer (Walls of Jericho): the ironic part about all the people bitching about the Tamer/Walls difference is that the Walls (which is just a boston crab) actually hurst MORE in real life than the Liontamer. Ankle Lock: doesn't hurt much, easy to escape. Boston Crab: hurts like hell, like the sharpshooter but worse. Camel Clutch: about as weak as it looks. Million Dollar Dream: glorified sleeper hold, but could still put you out. Other: the worst pain I've ever felt in a hold was when a guy slapped me in an inverted full-nelson, where our backs were to each other, and then lifted me off the ground. I screamed to be let down.
Guest gwf0704 Posted April 4, 2002 Report Posted April 4, 2002 The clawhold, if applied right, is not only painful on the temples but if applied from a guy with a strong hand, gives you a mother of a headache for hours.....
Guest Vyce Posted April 4, 2002 Report Posted April 4, 2002 The juji-gatame is agonizing. I'm surprised more people haven't picked the STF. If applied properly, it could be VERY painful. I remember MANY years ago (early 90s), watching a young Masa Chono slap the STF on, and I swear, it looked as if he was trying to dislocate his opponent's knee when he applied it. I'm a fan of the STF. And while I don't know if it's supposed to be more painful or not, but I love the version that TOKYO Magnum uses.
