RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2004 Know about what? Oh, you mean that guy who fucking owned on that show which fucking owned on Angel? Yeah, I kinda knew about that - RRR responding to one of the newer cast members Holy crap, I'm reading spoilers here and this HAS TO BE the greatest arc of all Joss Whedons shows. This thing goes DEEEEEEEEEP! - RRR responding to _another_ member of cast making his/her/its return
Mole 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2004 Well, saying that Adam Baldwin has a role in a episode isn't really spoiling anything. Besides, he is the fuckin man. He was my favorite character from Firefly. And here is the ratings report for Wednesday. At 9 p.m., NBC’s older-skewing West Wing dipped to second in the overnights behind Kingdom Hospital with a 9.9/14 followed by CBS comedies King of Queens and a repeat of Everybody Loves Raymond (7.9/11 each), Fox’s The O.C. (7.1/10), the WB’s soon-to-conclude Angel (3.8/ 5) and a repeat of America’s Next Top Model on UPN (2.7/ 4). First in the hour among adults 18-49 was Steven King’s Kingdom Hospital (5.7/14) followed by The O.C. (4.8/12), King of Queens and Everybody Loves Raymond (4.5/11 each), The West Wing (4.0/10), Angel (1.8/ 4) and the repeat of America’s Next Top Model (1.3/ 3). Source: Nielsen Media Research data Damn, Angel got killed in the 18-34 demographic. I thought they did better than that.
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2004 Well, saying that Adam Baldwin has a role in a episode isn't really spoiling anything Yes and No. It's could be a nice surprise for Firefly fans which may be greater seeing on tv than on a computer screen. Either way, it is a significant development in the show so one could consider it a spoiler. I think the 2 other returnees is much more important, however
Ravenbomb 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2004 How could it mess up the house and hurt Dawn? It never did anything like that before or after. In the one episode (First Date, IIRC), the demon Xander went out with brought him down to the seal to bleed him to make another Uber Vamp, so it would seem that there are some regular demons who are helping the First. Maybe the First got something to be there and be all poltergeisty, but then leave so it would seem like Dawn won so then the First could pose as her mom. That's what I thought at least
Mole 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2004 I totally forgot about that. The same thing fits with Glory; the Doc was a demon who followed someone. Same with Knox for Illyria.
Ravenbomb 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2004 As for the First entering Caleb, maybe the First can enter humans but not demons, and the human has to let it enter and Caleb was the only one who would let it.
Mole 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2004 The other day, I was thinking about Connor and his life in Quortoth. I am sure there are plenty of stories that could be told and it would make a good movie. Just a thought.
Mole 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2004 I am really bored right now and I can't sleep so I checked something out. In the Buffy thread that is in the classic folder now was on page 33 on March 8th and we are on page 73. The Buffy folder was on page 73 on May 14th. At this rate, this folder is going to surpass the Buffy folder big time. We might get over 200 pages or so. Of course we will ask Dames or whoever to make this a classic. Bps, do you have power to make it a classic?
dubq 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2004 *sigh* http://filmforce.ign.com/articles/496/4965....html?fromint=1 IGN FilmForce Exclusive: Angel Producers Confirm UPN Decision "Too expensive," says network. March 03, 2004 - In response to a news report at SyFy Portal [MoleSlayer posted the original on March 2, page 68 of this thread], sources within Mutant Enemy have confirmed to IGN FilmForce that the UPN network has passed on the option to pick up Angel. No official statement has yet been released from either Mutant Enemy or UPN but from all indications, the series will end with episode 22 of this season. Fans behind the Save Angel movement have asked fans to stop sending messages to UPN, further indicating that the future of the series is dim. Co-Executive Producer Jeffrey Bell told IGN FilmForce last weekend that any decision by UPN would be based on their financial situation. That situation has been in steady decline over the past several years, partially due to an exceptionally high license fee paid by the network to Fox for the rights to Buffy the Vampire Slayer's final seasons. Guest Angelus Report post Posted March 8, 2004 There is hope .. courtesy of buffy.nu Angel Sixth Season - Discussions Are Going Ahead From Pixsys.co.uk - By Gjac1 & Sky News - 2004-03-8th BSKYB BACKS ANGEL I sent 3 emails to Sky Tv in the UK last week and i have just got a reply back. As people know Sky One show all new episodes of Angel here in the UK so i wanted to know what they thought about Angel being canceled and what they knew about it. I asked several questions about Angel and they have replied to each of them. Here is the reply i got : Thank you for your email, we are glad to hear you are enjoying the new season of Angel on Sky One . Here at Sky One we too where suprised by the decison to cancel Angel after its current season. Angel has always been one of our more popular programs with a loyal and passionate fan base. To answer your question yes Sky have been in contact with both the producers of the show and the American based broadcast network The WB and we are told that discussions are going ahead behind closed doors to try and secure a sixth season of Angel but unfortunantly we are not privy to the information from these discussions. Sky One have assured the producers of the show they have our 100% support and we intend to continue showing Angel on our channel should an agreement be made to secure another season. As to your question of other networks picking up the show, unfortunantly we do not have information on this but be assured everything is being done to try and bring Angel back to Sky One next year. Kind Regards & Hope For Angel Season 6 ! From Thewb.com - By SteelDogDG - 2004-03-8th Hi all. Just wanted to update you guys. Just when I thought all was dead, I received a ray of hope. There are some additional meetings going on this week with the PTB. I cannot elaborate with who but only tell you that it is someone we are all familiar with. Don’t get all excited yet. These are only talks. However, it appears that the several campaigns going on just can’t be ignored. Even though this is not a shining light, there just might be a light at the end of the tunnel. This might not turn out to be anything. However, the fact that additional meetings are occuring means that at least somebody is listening. Keep up the good work guys. Time is of the essence. Guest Vitamin EC Report post Posted March 8, 2004 Buffy Season 8 credits Pretty damn cool.
dubq 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2004 Very cool. Though it reminds me that the very sight of Kennedy annoys the shit out of me. =\
Mole 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2004 There will be no season 6 of Angel, it's a wrap. And those credits are pretty sweet, good looks EC.
dubq 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2004 O/T, I know, but for the hell of it.. SMG on the set of the Grudge: Click here - near the bottom of the page, second last item in the "Entertainment" column.
BlackFlagg 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2004 cool credits....though Giles is usual the "and" not Willow, heh I had to find something...other than the stain of Kennedy Nice to see Andrew in the credits though
Mole 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2004 There were too many season 7 shots though.
Anya 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2004 Those credits are cool. Andrew being a regular would have been the best thing ever. Kennedy being one is a horrible though though. If Tony Head came back full time I wonder if he'd get his spot back as the last person......
Hank Kingsley 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2004 I always thought Andrew would get the last spot. He just seems the kind of person that would be "And Tom Lenk as Andrew".
dubq 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2004 Giles should always get the last spot. I wish that they really would have went through with the 'Ripper' series. That would've kicked so much ass. I was thinking, the other night, when I was watching the episode in Season 3 of Buffy where all the adults eat the chocolate bars and turn into teenagers.. a great "what if/bizarro" spin off would be Giles, Joyce & Snider as a trio of Vamp/Demon hunters, with possibly Buffy as their "leader." I laughed my ass off during that episode. The interaction between the characters was great!
Ravenbomb 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2004 what was the song they played in Conversations With Dead People?
Guest Vitamin EC Report post Posted March 9, 2004 I don't think Andrew deserved "and" honors, I always think that should be reserved for the most accomplished actor on the cast, I don't know if even Alyson deserved it to be honest. On the other hand, Alexis is more than deserving.
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2004 I thought "And Alyson Hannigan" was fucking lame.
Mole 0 Report post Posted March 10, 2004 It should have been Emma Caulfield.
LaParkaMarka 0 Report post Posted March 10, 2004 Eww, why Emma? Marsters showed the most acting chops out of the cast of season 7, he should have gotten the spot.

Mole 0 Report post Posted March 10, 2004 Eww, why Emma? Marsters showed the most acting chops out of the cast of season 7, he should have gotten the spot. I don't know, I'm sick today so I think my brain had a big fart when I thought of that.
Guest Brian Report post Posted March 10, 2004 If they had done another season, would they have brought Spike back to Buffy or Angel?
LaParkaMarka 0 Report post Posted March 10, 2004 Buffy was done. Where else could they have gone with her story? Buffy's wacky European adventures? Doesn't really work. Spike would have still gone to Angel, even if one of the other Buffy characters got a spin-off (eg Faith). At least, that's what I figure. Back to Angel, I finally saw the ep where he becomes human for 24 hours. One of the more depressing Whedonverse eps, especially when Angel and Buffy have a minute left and their stupid song comes on and Buffy is so upset...sigh. I need to go watch Smile Time or something. Mole 0 Report post Posted March 10, 2004 I like watching those sad episodes when I'm in a bad mood. It is soooo sad, so it makes me feel better.
chaosrage 0 Report post Posted March 10, 2004 Buffy was done. Where else could they have gone with her story? Buffy's wacky European adventures? Doesn't really work. Well if it would've had another season, it wouldn't have ended the same way. I mean, did they ever talk about the slayer spell before the last episode?
