Except for the main event--BAW GAHD what a shitfest!

Lothario/Cornette? Geez, who could have thought that a manager vs. manager match would sell? Now, ANNOUNCERS vs. ANNOUNCERS, now THAT's money!

I'm guessing Bret/Lafitte was MOTN.

Eh, not as bad. I remember Patroit was a decent worker, unless my memory decieves me.

Sounds like a decent card...

And the Unforgivens I liked.

In Your House #3 – September 24, 1995

Mind Games – September 22, 1996

Ground Zero – September 7, 1997

Unforgiven – September 23, 2001

Bret vs. Laffiette was indeed match of the night. IYH 3 is also notable for having Owen show up late after his wife gave birth to their daughter.

Mindgames is notorious for having footage of "Diesel" and "Razor" jumping Savio backstage, setting up Jim Ross' heel turn the next day where he brought out the fakes. It also featured several ECW stars in the crowd.

Ground Zero wasn't bad. Putski blew out his knee on the floor and the match had to be stopped. Austin hits the Stunner on JR after giving up his half of the tag straps, along with Dude Love. Taker does the plancha over the top rope, taking out HBK, Triple H, and a host of other wrestlers that tried to seperate the two after the match ended.

Being a fan of the Invasion angle (yeah, okay - it wasn't perfect but I enjoyed it while it lasted), I liked the 01 edition of Unforgiven. Despite the horrible Taker & Kane / Kronik match, the PPV made up for it with two standout contests - RVD / Jericho and Angle / Austin.

That was a shoot? I always figured that was some cheap heel excuse he gave to justify the bait and switch for the Triple Header match. And yeah, that Bret/Lafite match was great.

Breakdown was probably the best PPV out of the bunch, although I remember Unforgiven 99 being good aside of Kennel from Hell...you know I mark for Chyna matches and the 6 Pack match came off well.

And I've gotta show love for Mind Games and Unforgiven 00 since I was at both B-)

Same here. I never knew Owen was legit late.

Ground Zero is pretty good with Shanw/Taker, Bret/Patriot and Pillman/Goldie being good to great(Taker/HBK).

I believe they knew that Owen MIGHT not be there in time so they had that match planned and they had two different scenarios booked with the same result, If owen didn't show up...Nash and Shawn still would have won and been forfieted of the titles...and the other was the one that happened...Owen Shows up late (which If I recall he was there a good hour before the match) and runs in and gets pinned but isn't the legal man...

So it really didn' make a difference.

Ah yes, Scott Putski.

He was the bright young man who decided he should leave WWE, a company that seemed to be very interested in pushing him and put him on PPV, since he got that freak knee injury to go to WCW, where he became nothing but Goldberg fodder.

Such a smart business man you are, Scott.

And if I remember correctly, Unforgiven '99 was pretty uneventful. I think I even remember J.R. going on his Ross Report (RIP) and calling the PPV "disappointing". I guess Russo knew he was on the way out.

Yeah, I've gotta get another copy of that PPV, because I let my friend hold it a couple of years ago and never got it back. I liked Ground Zero a lot. Although it was a glorified squash, the Taker/HBK match was great. And you've gotta love Austin stunning Jim Ross...or was it Slaughter that night? It's been a while...

1995 was Bret Harts magic broomstick time where he was having **** or near that matches with Hakushi, Issac Yankemm, Jean Pierre-Lafitte, Diesel, Davey Boy Smith in a 7 month span on PPV.

The main event at Mindgames, was one of the best matches I've ever seen. Although not seeing anything else on the card, I can conclude that Mindgames is the best September WWE PPV.

1999 I think he means.

2000 was the DQ finish...I think. Jericho went over clean in 99.

I think that answer's that question. :D Mr. Hughes hit the ref to cause the DQ.
