Yeah. It will be much less confusing for all involved.

Benoit and Chavo Tag Team = Weak as fuck.

Benoit has one of the best natural storylines in the history of wrestling aka The Long Suffering Journeyman but the WWE, like the majority of good ideas is far too stupid to catch on.

He's the long suffering journeyman.........duh. He's the guy who's been everywhere, seen it all, done everything but STILL will never get the respect and admiration that he deserves.

Everybody can relate to what Benoit has been through his entire career. Being *this* close to having something that you love and it always being taken away from you but still pressing on and fighting against the tide because you're doing something that you love.

Benoit epitomizes hard work and determination, always wanting to be the best at what he does (and he is).

I think eventually people will move on to the guy/thing/team/whatever that can actually you know, get the job done rather than stick by the perennial loser.

But Benoit isn't really the perrenial loser, he's the guy who's never given a chance to shine.

Benoit so comes across as the guy who could be a champion, but instead winds up wasting time with lesser opponents.

Or, he's fucked up every chance he's had. Not everyone gets, let alone loses three major pay per view world title shots.

Excuse me? Benoit fucked up his shots?

Did you see Royal Rumble? Did you see the standing O? Did you hear the pop he got at WrestleMania?

If WWE put a third of the amount of time they put into Lesnar, HHH, Goldberg or Angle into Benoit he'd be the most over guy on the roster, guaranteed.

So it's Benoit's fault that he's treated like a jobber? Riiiiiiiiiiiight.

Yeah, well, that last one was solely to give Angle credibility for that DREAM MATCH OF THE AGES Angle/Lesnar, which was done three times over to get that one exceptional match, which to date hasn't occured. So that pairing can fornicate themselves with an iron stick.

And if you're going to admit that your fantasy booking for Benoit is weak (which it is), then don't do it in the future.

At least we agree over the Eddie's music thing.

Three title matches, three clean losses.

Did you see Royal Rumble? Did you see the standing O? Did you hear the pop he got at WrestleMania?

And they continued this "well respected guy who just isn't quite good enough to win a big match" push for six months, and about 80 percent of those people stopped caring.

Uh, are you talking to me or AS?

AS. You had posted before I had finished. I thought I could get by without quoting.

And tell me what big matches he had in those six months....

You're right...

That is a weak scenario for Benoit.

Besides, the whole point of the Long-Suffering Journeyman is to finally be rewarded in the end. He gets his big win because 1)He is at his peak, 2)He has his opponents number, 3)He has been training extra hard, 4)He is on the brink of collapse and will give everything he has left to win the title, 5) "Any given night, Any one man can win the title", etc etc.

But he hardly was being pushed back then...

But those weren't big matches, neither in promotion nor delivery...

Ah fuck it. I already get headaches from school, I don't need an aneurysm trying to decipher skewed perspectives.

And tell me what big matches he had in those six months....

Starting with the tag title match at Mania

The number one condender's tourney to Cena.

Th US tourney to Eddy.

The Summerslam 4-way.

And losses to everyone from SOH to Danny Basham sprinkled in.

When did this 6 month push occur, AS?

Push as in "Push" meaning the lack there of.

Where he ost to everyone.

So why did he lose at the Rumble?

My whole point is that Benoit has played the guy that has come *This close* for so long that people are starting to say "fuck this" and moving on to someone who has shown that they can actually, you know, win.

So that your boy can have the ***** match with Lesnar that never happened because he's not God.

Then you do the same. It'll certainly make me happier.

That's not fair to say since it has not been *established* in storyline form. The story is there, the WWE is not capitalizing on it - which was Currys whole point. The fans clearly respect Benoit, I don't think they are "sick" of the angle simply because the angle hasn't been done.

Why did he lose to Angle? It wasn't his night. Angle was peaking. There are plenty of reasons to exploit. He beat Angle before, Angle beat him - they trade wins. Benoit can hang with the best in the company, it's just a matter of fate and finishing.

The Mania Tag match, the #1 contenders, and the 4 way at Summerslam were not big matches. The only one you can argue for is the US title tourny, and even then it didn't have a lot of build to it.

Benoit is all kinds of dead right now in that he is actually getting a push since he's dominated Rhyno and A-Train but he's still not getting any fan momentum out of the deal. He gets the same pops no matter what he does and I am just not getting the feel like the fans care if Benoit gets to the next level anymore.

Quite simply, Chris is not wrestling as well as Eddie anymore and is no where near as entertaining. As such, the fans don't feel the same connection to him as they used to and he deserves the mid card spot that he has. He's lost the feel of being 'the guy that should be higher than he is'.
