Randy Orton is Underrated.

It's not much of a finisher though, is it? It reminds me of Hurricane's flying neckbreaker, only in reverse. How come that move never results in a pinfall? Because it's a transition spot. And that's what the RKO is.

Then how come DDP got so many wins with it?

Well, his more fine-tuned version of it.

That's sort of like saying the stunner isn't a good finisher since its a reverse neckbreaker in reverse. I can feel what you're saying but in the world of wrestling there are things you have to go along with mentally... like the F5 is a glorified flapjack but I don't care all that much. Anyway, I actually like that Orton's diamond cutter has a bit more float to it than DDP's since it allows the person to taking the move to get more room to do the face dump. When Page did it, a few times the opponent took it really awkwardly... Orton's doesn't have that problem.

I guess maybe the few times I've seen him hit it, it just seems like there's no impact. He's just so skinny that it seems like he can't put a lot of mass behind the move. I can't really explain it... maybe I'm just used to big burly bodies being flung all over the place...

... in the context of a wrestling match, of course. ;)

For what it's worth, I wasn't a big fan of the Diamond Cutter, either.

I still want to know how this win put him over.

HBK beat him cleanly only to have Ric Flair save him then he machine gunned a pair of brass knucks off of HBK's skull. Once again...how was this putting him over?
