WCW World Champion the Rock pinned WWF Hardcore Champion Rob Van Dam (w/ Stephanie McMahon) with the Rock Bottom after Stephanie accidentally knocked the referee into the ring ropes, dropping RVD crotch-first on the top turnbuckle

Man, I guess I missed that match. I've always wanted to see a Rock vs. RVD match. Do you remember how the quality of the match was and everything ? If someone has a CRZ recap, it'd be greatly appreciated.

And man, that was an awesome Smackdown last year. Eddie and Edge in that No-DQ Match, as well as the Triple Threat between Rey/Angle/Benoit. Hmmm....call me crazy but.....I don't think Smackdown will be that good tomorrow night. Just a hunch.

I personally liked the match but i would've like to see it on ppv. RVD chants were drowning out those Rocky chants, the good old days w/o HHH, sigh.

They stuck around for a few years. Duane Gill & Barry Hardy under masks perhaps? I forgot. They were jobbers, I can tell you that much.

A REALLY fat tag team. I mean, bigger than the Natural Disasters or 3 Minute Warning.

-=Mike --- and they sucked worse, too.

Talking of him, is anyone sorry we never got the Gillberg vs Goldberg money match?

I think Gill said on an interview that GB has legit heat with him over the gimmick.

Who's Salvatore Sincere??

I didnt watch a lot of WWF around that time. He sounds terrible.

Tom Brandi as an insincere Italian. It WAS terrible.

He was around from the Summer of 96(he came in with Freddie jo Floyd, Who, Alex Porteau, The Goon, T.L.Hopper etc) and stuck around til early to mid 1998.

He now uses Del Wilkes old Patriot gimmick, but i haven't heard much about him lately.

Sal Sincere stuck around after the gimmick ended for a while wrestling on Superstars and such as Tom Brandi. He wasn't actually that bad in the ring, but the gimmick was horrible. As mentioned, he bought the Patriot gimmick from Del Wilkes and uses it on the indies now.
