Ted the Poster 0 Report post Posted September 25, 2003 I have a file that needs XviD so I downloaded the codec, installed it, and rebooted my computer. All should be fine, but while the sound is working the video is totally scrambled and unwatchable. Does anybody have an idea as to what the problem could be? Any help is appreciated. Red Hot Thumbtack In The Eye 0 Report post Posted September 25, 2003 Are you using the latest WMP? I had the same problem but installing the codec worked for me using WMP.
Ted the Poster 0 Report post Posted September 25, 2003 I'm using WMP v9. Maybe the install program I used was bad...
Guest I'm That Damn Zzzzz Report post Posted September 26, 2003 Uninstall the codec, get Kazaa Lite Codec Pack at http://doa2.host.sk/codecpack.htm and install Xvid from there. If that doesn't work, run GSpot (included with Kazaa Lite Codec Pack), it'll tell you more than you want to know about the file.
