Wasn't HHH pushing for the WM X7 main event to be a triple threat between them?

Let me be the first to say THANK GOD THAT DIDN'T HAPPEN!

That match wouldn't be nearly as good as it was, had Triple H been in it.

Truly one of Austin's finest moments, that match is.

Shawn was supposed to interfere and cost the Undertaker the match and reunite with HHH. Then Shawn no-showed and the booking changed. HHH was a little pissed at Shawn.

There's more to it, but my memory's fuzzy.

This was right around when he "discovered" God...So yeah...

At least he no showed HHH's Party...guess that and his *Artistic Appreciation* of the Christian religion makes up for that night (I.E bastardizing every christian icon for profit and to prostitute himself for money and glory)

The three biggest stars of the Attitude era were probably Steve Austin, Vince McMahon and the Undertaker, with Foley, Rock and DX taking honorable mentions, Kane being just a step below, and Val Venis, The Brood and D-Lo Brown filling the list out.

I consider the Attitude era to be from Wrestlemania XIV until Fully Loaded '99. Then we entered the HHH regime and things changed.

In that era, the three biggest stars have been HHH, the Rock and Steve Austin, followed by the Undertaker and Kurt Angle, followed by Chris Jericho, the Hardy Boyz and the Dudley Boyz.

The HHH era ended with the Quad Tear I'd say (while he does still have massive influence, the product changed considerably around this time) and the top stars between 2001 and 2003 have been HHH, Brock Lesnar and Kurt Angle, with Steve Austin and the Rock in on and off roles, Chris Jericho next, and Rob Van Dam and Booker T finishing out the list.

That's how I'd say it's gone anyway.

I was just refering to when business was good...which was 98-01. Which means Those three were the biggest successors.

So you don't think Foley's ahead of HHH?

Not saying I disagree with you, I just wondered how you felt about that.

Of Course, Foley was a huge success and actually after the rock, may very well be the one who comes off most financially rewarded along with getting mainstream acceptance.

The thing is, Foley always seemed to play second banana to either Austin in ’98 or to Rock in ’99. In 2000 he played a role that he never should have, the rule enforcing commish and it was in 2000, The Rock was the major baby face along with the slow emergence of the “new breed” of angle, Jericho etc.

However from Mid ’99 to currently, HHH was the MAIN GUY either as the unbeatable heel or the monster face.

Showing complete dominance, meaning he was never “competing” with anyone…which gives him more of a “over all” success then foley whom never really was the focus aside from a brief run in 2000...

Triple H also has made some great rewards money wise along with the fact he got over Vince like no one else ever has...
