About damn time... I'm tired of everytime I'm trying to remember a domain and type in something similar but not the actual domain, then get rerouted to some random search engine with 20 popups.

Umm... you have no idea what you are talking about. That is your browser being hijacked. Thanks for playing though.

Is this when you type an address in wrong and it takes you to a VeriSign page saying "We couldn't find that" or some such crap? That annoys me, because I have to type in the whole address again even if I had just one letter wrong.

Okay, maybe I didn't read the article that closely, but it seemed like that's what the deal was... I mean, there've been too many damn times when I mistype a URL and get send to some random search engine, I just thought this referred to all of those rather than Verisign's official one.

So tell me then, what is the deal?

Oh, and I do know what I'm talking about, I was just talking about the wrong thing

The VeriSign thing was where you'd type in a url that didn't exist and it's take you to their search page to help you find what you may have been looking for. What angelslayer was taking about is the zillion websites that exist that are 1 letter off a popular site so when you typo you end up there. Greedy fucks.
