Why doesn't WWE ever visit the United Center?

Every time WWE visits Chicago, they book an event at the Rosemont Horizon as opposed to the United Center. To my knowledge, WWE has only booked one event there -- SummerSlam 1994. Does anyone know the answer to this?

Horizon probably has cheaper rent, as well as consistent sellouts, adequate amenities, fewer event conflicts, and I don't know about you, but I'd feel safer in the suburbs than downtown Chicago.

I always thought that the WWE never went there because WCW had the rights to the building. I mean they had a Nitro there like every two months.

 

So I don't why they don't go there now.

How about why the WWE never booked the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis. I know WCW held the rights before, but now it would be a perfect place for a Wrestlemania.

Agreed, Jones Dome or Metrodome for Wrestlemania, or if they're particularly ambitious, they book Arrowhead Stadium.

I doubt WWE could fill the United Center anymore. They'd be lucky to fill the Horizon for a house show.
