I'm sorry, the Human Hot Dog is BACK in the WWF and they DON'T have him come out with "Real American?"  Thats a shame.  Not that I don't mind hearing Jimi but come on, at least when Hollywood reverted back to the Human Hot Dog (Hogan's skin resembles that of a frankfurter, therefore red and yellow resembles some mustard and ketcup) for that brief run in WCW he went back to "American Made"

 

I mean you want to take a stale gimmick off the shelve and dust it off, give it the full treatment and not "the best of both worlds" and its not like they trashed the tapes after Hogan left as "Real American" was used at least twice in the last few years for The Showster and when The Stooges fought The Mean Street Posse.  (thank god though we were never treated to Hulkdust during Goldust's parody period)

As soon as the Hollywood Hogan character starts to grow stale, you know they're going to go all out and bring back the red and yellow.  It's inevitable.

I thought the red and yellow feather boa made Hogan look like a chicken mascot or something.

Call me crazy but I liked it. They are taking it slowly, and IMO, smartly. When that stops drawing the huge pop, they will infuse the music and the pops will come back. Real American still pumps me up and remains on my Mp3 player for workouts to this day.

I still say they should have held off on the red-and-yellow until his final month. When he went full on hulkster in WCW, his pops died so fast it was mind-numbing. Plus my markish roommate had been marking for Hogan, and when ho came out yesterday he immediately started laughing. I believe "He looks like a fruit!" was his exact comment. Plus for some reason, I think that regalia makes him look even older.

 

    On the plus side, I don't think there's any way HHH is going to lose so we have one of two options: HHH turns heel, (a little too soon, but he works much better as a heel) or Rocky turns on Hogan, which would be a breath of fresh air.

 

    Just as a sidenote, if Rock does turn heel, how can it take? When he re-turned heel at Survivor Series, it wasn't long before the fans were giving him pretty loud cheers. He's just such a funny asshole as a heel it's inevitable.
